Whereabout Wednesday Phase 2 Checkin!

Morning ladies!  Since I couldn't remember what Suzy usually puts before 'Wednesday', how about we remind each other where we are from?  We have lots of new people too so lets get a little more acquainted!

Two questions:

  1. What state and/or city do you live in
  2. How long have you lived there?

Here's my answers:

  1. I live in Huntington Beach, CA
  2. I actually grew up here.  But, I moved away when I was 18, then came back 3 months later.  Moved again when I was 20.  I returned to HB when I was 27(last year).

My night was good.  Did my TamiLee arms and my Slim in 6 abs.  I think I'll do the Slim in 6 workout tonight.  It's about 45 minutes.  Anyone else ever done the Slim in 6 program?

Here's my menu:

B - Half Kashi Go Lean, half Uncle Sams w/ 1% milk

S - apple

L - edited to say the auditors are taking us out to lunch to Olive Garden.  I plan on asking about the ww pasta!  If they don't have it, I'll get soup(minestrone) and salad.  I'll try to be good about the bread, but I'm not holding my breath!  lol

S - hardboiled egg, sf ff vanilla yogurt w/ mixed berries

D - lf burger patty and salad

S - 3 dark choc kisses

(edited to modify my "full disclosure menu" in my attempt to be more accountable for what I'm eating for the rest of this week! LOL)

Hi everyone -

Thanks for the reminder about the water last night, Kristin! I need to make an extra effort to do that today. Besides, I had another snafu this morning when I woke up to find out that DH had given the kids the rest of the milk in their cereal instead of saving it for my coffee. Didn't he notice there was yogurt for the kids? ARGH!! So, since we didn't have any eggs, oatmeal, milk, or anything else I needed, I dragged the kids out at 8:30 this morning to the coffee shop and then the grocery store. Unfortunately, I picked the wrong coffee shop and they had very few options for me. I opted for the a.m. croissant with eggs (microwaved), ham and cheese. I have no idea if that was better or worse than a muffin or white bagel, but at least it tasted good, unlike my dinner last night. I am a walking "DON'T" for the South Beach Diet this last 24 hours! Sheesh!

So now that I have a fridge full of fresh groceries, I think I should do a P2-lite for a couple days. Here is my plan:

B: let's not mention it again.... lol
L: chef salad w/ham, turkey, greens, grape tomatoes w/homeade mustard vinaigrette
S: grapes w/wedge of laughing cow cheese. PLUS 1 large goldfish cracker, about 1/5 of DS's nutty granola bar
D: Taco salad (small) and about 1/4 of kids' cheese quesadilla, but it was legal since it was on WW tortillas.
S: low fat yogurt w/vanilla and splenda (the grocery store was all out of fat free, and I'm skipping the PB to make up for the croissant!) - decided later to add a banana to this

I also plan to do Day 2 of my couch to 5K plan tonight at the gym. That is 30 minutes of walking, with three of it being a jog. I might also hop on the elliptical for 15-20 min,

To answer today's question (great idea, btw!!!)

1. What state and/or city do you live in

I live in a small town in SE Michigan, not too far from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

2. How long have you lived there?

I have lived in Michigan my whole life, and in or around this area since 1988, when I moved away from home to go to Eastern Michigan University.

Have a good day girls! Off to get myself another big glass of water!

Hello all:

I am currently in southeastern PA, about an hour north of Philadelphia.

I have lived in this town for less than a year, and bounced around a LOT before that! Started in NJ as a kid, moved relatively close to here through high school, college in Washington DC, first career in New York City, back to school in central PA, and now here. Hopefully staying put for awhile...

I'm off the Beach yesterday, today and tomorrow for work reasons :-( Kind of a good news/bad news situation. Good news: I was given an internal promotion at the beginning of the week that will mean a lot more opportunity for me with the company. Bad news: it's going to mean a whole lot more meeting and travel time that is going to be really rough on my SBD plan. I'm excited about the changes being made to my position, I'll just have to figure out a way to give myself as many SBD friendly choices as possible (luckily they're leaving the catering with me, haha, it's just a question of whether the caterers will be accomodating!) So we'll see how it goes.

Today's menu is not a good example for anyone, lol, so I will check back in later when I have a better plan in mind :-)

Great idea Kristin!
1. What state and/or city do you live in - GAINESVILLE, FL
2. How long have you lived there? - Since starting college in the fall of 1996 so about 8 1/2 years.

On to my menu...I'm trying to be honest too and it can be painful! lol

Breakfast: Egg Salad sandwich on toasted whole wheat pita bread used about 1 tablespoon light mayo and 1 teaspoon of dill relish (does anyone know if that is okay?)
Oops Snack: 2 strawberry tootsie rolls that I discovered in the car from my son's Valentine's day party.
Real Snack: 30 pistachios
Lunch: HUGE salad with about 3 cups of lettuce, tomato, with american and provolone cheese (probably not low fat), turkey, and roast beef. I used an italian dressing with 4 g of carbs but it is my absolute favortie kind.
Snack: A piece of colby-jack. It is 7g of fat/serving so it wasn't a great selection but I was all out of part-skim string cheese.
Dinner: Whole Wheat Spaghetti (about 1/2 cup) with florentine cheese and tomato meat sauce (CLASSICO) and a salad.
Desert: Large glass of skim milk

More confessions...Last night I ended up eating a salad with those fried onion thingies on it. I would have had them leave it off but I forgot. Then later I had two pieces of my dark chocolate covered nuts that dh gave me for v-day. It wouldn't be so bad but I wanted to hold off on the chocolate some after spurging on Monday.

Successes...I'm trying to exercise more and am making sure I "power walk" during my daily routine. I even have been going out of my way to get more walking in which makes me feel good. I also am going to rent an exercise video. I'll let you know how it goes! :o)

Oh and TOM is just about here so I'm thinking maybe that is why I only lost 1/2 a pound last week. Hoping for a much better result next week! :o)

Hope everyone got through Hump Day okay. We are over half way to the weekend!

Hey Carol - I think we should both make an attempt for the full disclosure menus for a few days. :) Your menu sounds painfully familiar! LOL
