Hello Ladies,

I have been home sick since yesterday. I just knew my boss coming to work sick would make us all sick! I have a nasty cold...soar throat, sneezing, runny nose, headache, slight fever....yech! I haven't even felt up to watching tv much. I've been having chicken soup mainly. I am going to try to go to work tomorrow since I know I don't have any more sick time to use, but if I get worse than I won't.

I just wanted to say "hi" and I hope you're all staying warm & healthy.

(((Hugs)))

Hello!

Suzy, I hope you feel better soon...that's never fun to be sick and have to worry about having the time off to be sick with :-( Snuggle your furbabies, and get well soon!

Today's menu will be more SBD-friendly than yesterday's, so I'll post...but in the interests of full disclosure, I'm still in eating-at-work-out-of-necessity mode, so it won't be entirely up to standards. For right now, I am skipping snacks when I don't have SBD options available in an attempt to at least keep my caloric intake lower. Also, TG and I are still in the middle of our vegetarian trial period, so I'm hoping that the reduced meat/fat intake will help offset some of the bad carbs/bad fats I'm running into. Does anyone know if that works or not, lol?

B: Had a pear and a bag of mixed nuts

S: Skipped it, didn't have anything else good

L: Build-your-own-sandwich day...I ordered some SBD-friendly ingredients and bread as some of the choices, we'll see if they actually show up this time!!!

S: Not sure yet, if I can run home I'll grab something if not I'll probably skip it again

D: Out for a department dinner to a steakhouse, which I've been to before and can say with a great deal of certainty does not have ANYTHING that will be in compliance with both SBD and the vegetarian pact. So I'll just have to evaluate and see if I can do one or the other for the evening.

De: Planning to skip it since I'll be out.

Stay strong Kristin! :)

Hope you feel better, Suzy. My DS just came down with something nasty this morning, too. Poor little guy is all runny/stuffy, feverish and really clingy. I gave him some Tylenol and he perked up a bit, but it's going to be a looooong day.

I'm kinda taking it as I can today, but here is my menu so far:

B: oatmeal w/milk, peanut butter and splenda; coffee w/milk
L: huge bowl of leftover chili from the other night; and (full disclosure) the second half of my DD's fruit yogurt
S: celery or grapes w/laughing cow cheese. I'm really into this stuff this week! LOL
D: not sure, maybe taco salad again. I have a parenting meeting tonight at 7:00, so it will be a quick dinner.

And darnit, my plans to go to the gym keep getting confounded. Last night was a bust, and now today my little guy is sick so I can't take him to a friend's house or the gym daycare, then I've got that meeting tonight so I can't go after dinner. Sheesh. It teaches me to grab the opportunities when they arise and not leave it til later!

I might give my Walk Away the Pounds tape a try instead. We'll see.

Have a good day ladies!

((((suzy)))) I'm sorry your sick. I hate it when sick people come to work, or school, or anywhere! My son was sick last week with what sounds like the same thing. We had to keep him "quarentined" fromt he rest of the family, since we have a high risk little girl. He is finally doin better today. It lasted about 9 days. I hope you are able to shake it much faster!

alrighty, here's my day~

B-bowl of shredded wheat biscuits, 1 cup milk, coffee

s-can of v-8

Bets...

::Hugs:: You know what I think? I think you don't need to go back to P1 at all, I think you need to start adding in MORE grains and fruit :-) You've been doing P2-lite for awhile now, I think your body is just getting used to it and needs it's healthy carbs back. Remember why they tell us not to stay on P1 too long? P2-lite can have the same effect. Why not try bumping up your grains/fruit servings for two or three days and see how you feel? I think it might be just what you need to get over your stall AND it will allow you more variety, which it sounds like you need now.

And I don't blame you for being sick to death of salads, I'm dreading traveling where that's all I can really depend on!!!! Thank you (and everyone else!) for the congrats on my promo, btw, I appreciate it! I think TG is feeling a little ambivalent right now too, lol, he's been extremely attentive this week :-) He's happy for me, I know, but I think he's a little nervous too about how much time I'm going to have to spend away from home...normally he likes his computer time in the evenings, but he hasn't touched it since I told him the news and showed him my new travel schedule, lol, instead he's been surprising me with hockey tickets (love that man!), dinners at romantic restaurants, every night this week he's come up with something new for us to go do together. I hope it lasts, lol!!!!!
