Hi Susie,

How's it going for you this week?  What have your challenges been, and your successes, too?  We'd love to hear an update!

I'm working things out in my life to be able to have more exercise.  It means some other things need to go, like cooking on weeknights.  I need to plan and cook most everything on the weekends for that to happen, and also to get more consistent help from my family.  So, that is something I'm really changing this week!  :)

Hugs,

~Julie~

Thank you for the suggestions about exercising while sitting in my chair. I do these occasionally with my legs and feet....not intending to exercise them, but to get the circulation moving in my legs. This is a problem I've had since my accident in 2000. I injured my back, and when I sit too long, my feet and legs start to tingle like they are going to sleep. So I move them like you suggested, but for the circulation. I will be more concious of what I'm doing and incorporate more of the exercises you suggested with my arms, too.

I don't want anyone to get the impression that all I do during the day is sit in front of the TV or my computer. I get my daily housework done in the mornings while my husband is working, then fix lunch, and dinner for the both of us..Monday's are laundry days. Since it is just my husband and me at home, I don't have a lot of housework to do. But I do move during the day. Just not the cardio-type I need. The weather will warm up soon, then I can do my flower gardening and go for walks, too. Cabin fever has set in!!

Thanks again, Julie

Julie, you aren't cutting in at all, that's fantastic advice!
