Holiday Monday Check-In!!

Happy President's Day everyone!! Day of me and DH, which is always nice, especially since we are expecting 6-8 inches of snow here in MA.

Already been to the gym and did 20 minutes on the treadmill. Feel really good about that. I gained a pound this week, so I am extra determined to get it back off. Hadn't exercised at all since starting, but now I have been 3 days in a row. Want the scale to go down again...:)

What's everyone's plan for today? We are getting household stuff done early and then just relaxing. Declutter some stuff off the TIVO.

B - WW toast, SF FF Vanilla yogurt, milk, and V8

S - hummus with green beans

L - Greek Salad

S - grapes with LC cheese

D - chilli with roasted broccoli and salad

Have a great day everyone!! Keep up the good work!!

Hi all! If you guys don't mind, I'm going to start posting under P2-- I'm really only on Day 8 (this is my second time around after losing-- and finding!-- 10 lbs. last spring on the SBD), but I'm modifying P1 by adding fruit. It is working out much better for me.

Anywho, here's what I have planned for the day (DH is working and it's gorgeous outside so my kids and I are hoping to park it outside all day today)...

B: V8, veggie quiche

S: blueberry smoothie (blueberries, yogurt, low-fat milk, splenda, ice, blended)

L: Cobb salad (with chichen) with iced tea and splenda

S: Red bell pepper (I usually eat a whole one) with hummus, string cheese

D: Fish, broccoli and a small salad, low-fat milk

I usually end up eating another fruit-- apple with natural pb or LC cheese or a handful of grapes and peanuts in there somewhere too.

Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Hi Bethie and welcome Kim! Congrats on your success so far Susie! And hey there to the rest of the P2ers who haven't checked in yet :)

I didn't even realize it was a holiday until I read your post, so that pretty much sums it up for me. DH doesn't have the day off, and both kids are still sick, so it will be a blah day for me. The most challenging part of it will be dragging the kids to the doctor at noon, which is a terrible time of day for my 2 yo -- right during his nap time. Ugh.

I am at a weight loss stall and I'm really getting frustrated. It's no suprise since I have had a LOT of bites of non-P2 foods this week. I just have a really hard time sticking to P2 when I eat any grains -- even the healthy ones. I do fine with the starchy veggies like squash, and the 1-2 fruits a day I eat, but it seems like every time I eat any grains it throws me down an 'anything goes' spiral. Ugh! Not sure if it's physical cravings or psychological. I think I'm borderline hypoglycemic, and have always been sensitive to sugar, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Here is my menu today:

B: egg scramble w/1 egg and part eggbeaters (new for me!), red pepper, onion, and zuchinni, topped w/laughing cow cheese; coffee w/milk

S: a measured amount of nuts that I'll eat in the car on the way to the Dr's

L: salad w/leftover steak from last night

S: celery w/LC cheese

D: not sure yet

S: PB yogurt (although I might try not eating after 8:00 like Oprah suggests -g-)

Today, my goal is to have NO "oops" foods! LOL

P.S. Susie - We are here to give you all the support you need! :)

I don't know off the top of my head about the products you asked about. My recollection from last time I read labels of coffee creamer was that it was loaded with transfats. I think what most people do here is use the SF davinci (or other) syrups for the flavor plus an SBD approved milk product.

Also, it might give you a little extra motivation to know that I started out at 232 and now weigh 179 (with a few more to go), so it can be done!!! :)

Hey all - this is the first time I have posted in the "check-in" thread even though I have been on phase 2 for almost a month - not sure why LOL!

Anyhow - may be a tough day for us here - dh has to work, both kids don't have school and its raining! They are going to drive me crazy today! Pre-SBD this would have been the type of day we would have baked up a storm. So I'm going to try and search for SBD friendly recipes that we can bake today. Other than that we will probably try and tackle the disaster areas they call their rooms and get those cleaned up for the week, and maybe give the dog a bath. Exciting life I lead, no? ;-)

I know I shouldn't have but I have been weighing myself each day (but just using my number on Friday as my "official" number) Friday was 168, Saturday was 167.5, Sunday was 166.5, today 166...usually I would have had an upward fluxuation by now - but it just keeps going down. I'm not going to get my hopes up though, next week should be that TOM so I'm sure it will head back up before Friday. But its so tempting to use that 166!

B: shake w yogurt, milk, ice, sf syrup, mixed berries
S: string cheese
L: not sure - probably tuna in ww tortilla and salad and my diet coke
S: apple w/peanut butter
D: split pea soup, homemade ww bread, zucchini
S: not sure yet - pudding or fudgscicle probably
D: whatever the kids and I end up baking

75 oz water, 20 min aerobics, 35 min pilates

Have a great holiday everybody!

Good morning all. Today has been going well so far. After breakfast I went to work out and the whole family joined me. They played basketball while I did an half hour on the treadmill and lifted weights. I have been trying to get dh to start working out and watching what he eats but I am not having a lot of luck. I have noticed that he is trying some of the food that I have been eating and seeming to like it, so there is hope yet. The rest of the days is going to be dedicated to cleaning and then, hopefully, a little scrap booking.

Today's menu:
B - two scrambled eggs, V8
sn - apple and string cheese
L - chicken salad rap and cauliflower soup
sn - yogurt
D - beef ribs, sweet potatoes, veggies
de - ss jello and ff cool whip.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all!

This has been a challenging weekend for me. We had events all weekend with some of my girls, and there were not many good choices to chose from, top it off with TOM and you get my drift! So I am trying to reel it in today, although I have one more event to go to tonight with one more daughter! Wish my power to overcome the hunger I feel! LOL! I hate my first 2 days of TOM, because I'm STARVING! If I can stay home, I'm fine because I have things to eat legally, But if I'm out, I'm so screwed! Cause it actually hurts not to eat! sigh~

Ok so here is my day to the best of my knowledge:

B- Cottage cheese with V-8

S- celery with PB

L- Salad with leftover steak and a glass of 1% milk

S- an apple (on the road to the docs)

D- this is where it gets gray :oS

S/D- Again, Gray~

May the Road rise to meet you, and the wind always be at your back!
