Good morning everyone! Its finally friday! Woohoo!!

Ok, so here is my menu for today:

Breakfast: 2 egg omelette made with about 1/3 a cup of black beans and 1 slice of low fat cheese. This was actually really yummy! :) plus one cup of coffee.

Snack: handful of garbanzo beans and 1 babybel light.

Lunch: 1/2 cup of cooked cous cous with 1 can of sardines and 1/3 cup of black beans mixed in with it. I added some tobasco sause to this and it was yummy! Also had a side dish of roasted cauliflower. 1 cup of low fat yogurt.

Snack: 1 apple with hazelnuts.

Dinner: I have no idea.. maybe some sauteed spinach and more black beans.

Im probably overdoing it with the black beans but its just that i had to make a huuuge batch and so i dont want it to go to waste..

Im also not having the best SBD week because of minor and some major slip ups here and there but im trying not to think about what happend and simply focus on what's up ahead. There is nothing i can do now about those three slices of thick crust pizza for example... :)

Have a great weekend everybody!

It's a beautiful day here today. It's suppose to get close to 50 so the kids and I will play outside this afternoon. We went to the gym this morning and I did a mile on the treadmill and lifted weights. Mornings are definately not my best time to exercise. I'll have to go for a walk later to get in more cardio.

Menu:
B - half a ww bagel with lf cream cheese and sf jam
sn - strawberries (and they were sooo good)
L - egg salad on lettuce, cucumber
sn - celery with pb
D - I have no idea yet

I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Hi there ladies!

I can't remember who asked, but yes, beans freeze just fine! The fantastically frugal way to do any kind of beans is to buy them dried, then go through the long soaking and cooking process that is required and then freeze. I like to freeze mine in individual sized ziploc bags, so I end up with about a can's worth per bag.

I'm still feeling sick today, but at least it doesn't seem to be getting any worse. My couch-to-5k workout is a definite no, though. I *may* (read: probably not) go to the gym and do any easy workout, but we'll see.

Today's menu:

B: GoLean w/ 1/2% milk; coffee w/milk
S: 1 tiny dark chocolate and 2 cheese sticks
L: pizza on a whole wheat flat bread
S: celery w/LC cheese
D: cajun fish w/homeade coleslaw - also had too many bites of the french bread DH brought home
S: SF/FF chocolate pudding

Probably too many grains today and not enough veggies, but it's better than I usually do when I'm under the weather. Lots of calcium though! :)

~Leslie
