Good Morning P2er Friends!
Thank you everyone for the good luck wishes for my interview yesterday. I think it went reasonably well but I can't honestly say if I felt they would choose me over the 4 other candidates up for the job. I guess time will tell. I felt like I was at the Spanish Inquisition...LOL! There were 3 women seated on one side of the long table and me all alone on the other. They alternated asking me about 20 questions. It is an assistant position working with fund raising for the radio station and helping with the layout of their quarterly newsletter. A lot of the duties are similar to what I did there when I worked for them back in the early 90's. I was nervous and I'm not sure I said all the right things, but I tried to do all the "right" things by looking them all in the eye, shaking hands, being friendly and even saying a few humorous things to lighten the mood. I am going to send a thank you e-mail today also and mention some more reasons why I'd be great for the job (since I forgot them yesterday at the interview since I was nervous). I hope I get this job but I know better than to get my hopes up.
I am taking my Gracie into the vet at 4pm today. (She's the kitty in my siggy below). I know she's lost weight since last week and I'm very worried about her hardly eating. I hope they can figure out what is causing this. :-( A kitten nearly 11 months old shouldn't be losing weight and be barely over 4 pounds.
Kristin -- My goodness I would have been scared too all alone hearing such noises in the back yard late at night! What on earth was your neighbor thinking chopping rat poison at that hour?? I'm glad you are ok and that Fonzie kept you company! :-) I hope today is better for you!
Kathy -- I am sorry you lost so much sleep with your baby. That's not easy. How was the funeral? I've never been to a Jewish one either. I hope today goes better and that you get some sleep!
Maryann -- Thank you sweetie for your well wishes yesterday. Your prayers always help! :-) Good going on starting back on the exercise!
Bethie -- I really look forward to those pics of your adorable furboys!!! :-)
My menu for today:
Breakfast: yogurt & Kashi, coffee
Lunch: ww pasta & tomato sauce
Snack: PB yogurt
Dinner: Salmon & veggies, milk.
Snack: sf ff pudding
(I'm getting better this week with drinking more water!)
Have a great day everyone! :-)

Morning everyone -
Today is a new day, which is a good thing because yesterday was a disaster, food wise. I don't know if it's the running I've started or the cabin fever or what, but I have had a huge appetite lately and have been reaching for all the wrong things. I won't even list my food from yesterday because it was baaaaaad.
I am determined to start fresh today:
B: oatmeal w/peanut butter and 1/2% milk; coffee w/milk
L: going out, hopefully will find a nice large salad with fish or chicken on it to choose
S: PB yogurt w/a handful of cereal for the crunch
D: grilled chicken, roasted brocolli and zuchinni
S: SF fudgsicle
Does that look ok?
Hope everyone has a good day!
~Leslie
Hi Leslie!
I won't mention my food yesterday either! LMBO!
Hi Suzy and Leslie (and everyone else)!
Wow where is everyone so far today?

I plan on 30 minutes on the treadmill right after work. Haven't been since Sunday, so looking forward to it.
Here are some pics of the boys. One is them all together and one is just Yaz and Ozzie.
Morning!
Suzy, when will you find out about the job?
Suzy:I don't know if things changed since I was a receiptionst. But my boss always told me to make the person as comfortable as possible, because everyone going to be interviewed are always nervous. So they account for nerviousness. Just being yourself is the best you can do,I'm sure you'd did fine, and if your not hired its sometimes for the best.Something better will come along. Remember when a door shuts another one always opens. Hugs :) Maryann

Sounds like Tuesday was a bad day for cheating. It was dh birthday so we went out for supper. I had a pattymelt and fries and even a beer. Oh boy, it was so good, worth the cheat. Today I will be better. I've already got my workout in and its a beautiful day. Today's menu:

sn - string cheese and soy nuts
L - salad
sn- laughing cow cheese on triscuit
D - chicken chili

Tuesday was definitely a bad day for cheating!!! Today was slightly better, although I'm still in vegetarian while traveling mode...I find if I make a point of asking for the waiter/waitress' recommendation for their best vegetarian non-pasta dish, I get much better prepared veggies and more of them. I'm asking for whole grain/whole wheat substitutions in everything that has grains, but it isn't always available, so I'm hoping that the increased veggies, decreased fat routine will offset that.
I am sooooooooooooooo ready to go home, but I've got two more days out here :-( I miss TG like crazy...I've been seperated from guys I've dated before for much longer times and distances, but this one's really getting to me...and there's a possibility I'll have to take an even longer trip in two weeks, fun fun. Plus, that will mean leaving on a Saturday morning and missing a Munchkin weekend :-(
Anyway, here's today's results:
B: Veggie omelette, skim milk, sourdough toast
S: Half of a banana nut muffin (they've been putting out the same sliced melons every day this week and I can't even look at them anymore)
L: Garden salad, vegetarian vegetable lasagne (I was impressed, I counted at least five different veggies in it!), crudite
S: 1 peanut butter cookie
D: Guacamole with chips and salsa, cheese enchilada, grilled veggies, and a couple of forkfuls of pesto rice
So, looking it over, more carbs than I thought :-( But I'd say I made the 4.5 cups of veggies easily, so that's a plus. I can't wait to get back into my own kitchen.
