Gracie & I thank you dear friends....

I am so grateful to Kristin for posting for me yesterday since I got such bad news at the vets on Wednesday. My 11 month old kitten Gracie may have FIP which is a fatal disease of cats. We are unsure at the moment about this but it's looking likely. I couldn't work or think or anything but cry. If you want to see more info you can check here:

I thank each and every one of you for your kind words, thoughts & prayers for my furbaby. She is everything to me.
Hugs,

Suzy,
Just wanted to say that DH and I are both sending P&PT for you, Gracie and Gandalf. So are the boys. I hope that things turn around soon.
I saw your post on the Cats board. I hope that your vet will know something about the transfusions. Our boys were given fake blood. I know that it is not close to you, but the boys were treated at Tufts Veterinary in Massachusetts. Maybe your vet could contact them and see what they did. It may be a long shot, but it would be something.
You can email me too, if you want. Please keep me posted. You are a very special fur mom.
(((hugs)))
Hugs and prayers Suzy.
Susan :)
Thanks so much! I did appreciate your post on Cats board also. :-) I had not heard of transfusions before but I will check Tufts out and see what I can find out. Anything that can save Gracie I am willing to do. I just can't bear to lose her so young.
I think she got more food into her in one day than she has had in weeks. I got 95 cc of food force fed to her today in 4 separate feedings (she needs a minimum of 75 cc per day but if I can get her to 100 my vet is very happy). I hope the nourishment will help her. She even ate a few dry kibbles of cat food all on her own!
Thanks again to you & your dh for the P & Pt for my furkids. Hugs & purrs to your adorable boys!
Check
out the Irish Language Lab!
Hugs my friends. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
I hope everything turns out okay.
Love-n-Hugs,
Tricia.

((((Hugs)))) to you & your furbabies!
((((Bets)))) Thank you so much for your thoughts & prayers for Gracie. She's all I think about (along with Gandalf) right now. I bet I'll lose weight because I keep forgetting to eat! LOL (Isn't that unusual? LOL)
I am even looking to get 2nd or 3rd opinions so I'm sure I'm doing everything possible to save her. She's doing a bit better today and I hope this means it's not FIP she has. I'll keep you all posted.
((((Cathy)))) Thank you so much. I am positive the prayers will help Gracie! I was glad to get 95cc (over half a can) of food into her yesterday. She isn't thrilled with force feeding but I've got to do it if she has any hope of getting better. I think (according to my kitchen scale) that she gained 2 ounces since yesterday. This morning her temp remained normal (yeah!) and she even ate a few kibbles of Misha's dry cat food! Funny she ignored the sardine and tuna I offered her but instead went up and ate a dead fly that had fallen on the floor from when dh opened the windows last night! LOL It's protein I guess! I can't believe I was so clueless yesterday. I had not realized I'd bumped the knob on the stove and the gas had been on all day! I thought the burning smell was from leaving the coffee pot on too long. Dh got home and said he smelled gas....our carbon monoxide detector had not gone off so I had not even realized. He turned off the stove, and we opened all the windows. Thank God my babies are ok! I will never make that mistake again. Now I keep checking the stove to make sure the knobs are off.
I got Gracie to eat 4 of her crunchy kitty vitamins today. I am so happy whenever she eats something on her own. I will continue her force feeding four times a day as long as she won't eat on her own. I want her to get the calories and nutrients she needs to get better. I continue to trust in God that he'll heal her and that she won't be lost to FIP.
Thanks for your support & prayers! :-)
(((Suzy))) & (((Gracie)))
You KNOW how much I'm thinking about you two!
