Is my plan ok?

I'm about to start p2 after being on p1 for 16 days. I want to do the cautious approach b/c I'm scared & also b/c I'm overwhelmed as to all the choices. So, is there a better meal to add back something to? I was thinking of adding cold cereal w/ 1% milk for breakfast -is that ok? How much am I supposed to have? A serving size? Does the cereal count as 1 starch serving?

Providing that no cravings appear after a few days, I was then going to add back a piece of fruit as a snack after lunch - is that ok?

I've read over the "getting started" section & I have to admit, it scares the heck out of me. I feel like I have sooooo much more to learn after finally mastering the p1 section.

Am I supposed to eat these new foods in addition to the meals I already eat? For instance, if I have a pork chop & green beans for supper, am I supposed to add a piece of whole wheat bread? Or is the whole wheat bread meant to replace part of my meal?

Also, how can I learn about the lingo I read in peoples posts? What do all the abbreviations mean?

I feel so helpless right now.

Please try not to feel overwhelmed. I started with p2lite as well. Some people had a problem with adding cereal in the morning. What I did was add a ww pita for lunch and made a sandwich with it or made a pizza in the evening with a LaTortilla Factory ww tortilla as the crust. I made it w/ turkey pepperoni and mozz w/ black olives. It was very good. You could add fruit later as long as you have it with a carb competitor which is talked about in the "Starting P2" post. I would usually add Kashi Go Lean cereal into my yogurt. Also I made the oat ww muffins (usually adding bananas or blueberries) and have that as a snack in the afternoon topped w/ lite laughing cow (lc) cheese.

The best thing you can do is just listen to your body because everyone experiences things differently and what might work for someone may not work for you.

If you have questions about what an abbreviation means just ask. I didn't know what dd, dh etc meant. I felt funny having to ask but it meant dear daughter and dear husband. Don't feel funny about asking, we all want you to feel as part of the group as possible.

Good luck to you and welcome to Phase 2. Look forward to reading about all your successes!

Cheers!
