Is it Monday already again??!! Weel, this is yet another re-dedication to the Beach Monday. I've been slacking a bit, so my weight has stalled. Unfortuantely, yesterday I went from slacking to a battle with a brunch and the brunch won! So, today is a new day and i'm trynig to stay focused. I have 75 days until a vacation to Cancun. So, i'm trying to lose about 25 pounds by then.

B - fruit smoothie (with Soy milk and non-fat yogurt)
S - low fat cheese
L - hummus, whole wheat pita, and sugar free jello
S - fruit "leather" (dried fruite snack..like a fruit roll-up)
D - Fish and veggie
S - fruit "Leather"

Good morning! The weekend went by too fast - did nothing but clean and do yard work as my dad is coming to visit tomorrow.

Scale didn't move for me last week, but in the last 3 days its gone down 1.5 lbs. My "official" weigh in is on Friday though, so I am not counting those lbs as lost yet unless they stay gone by Friday - but its encouraging! If I lose 2 this week it would bring me to the halfway point, I was hoping to get halfway by my birthday in April, so I think I should be able to meet that goal easily!

Breakfast: Tried the new SBD meal replacement bar instead of my usual oatmeal or cereal. Pretty high in fat, so I doubt I will have it often, but wanted to try one at least once (it was okay and filled me up more than I thought it would)
Snack: yogurt
Lunch: leftover tri-tip on ww tortilla, baked beans, salad
Snack: orange
Dinner: Salmon, asparagus, ? some other veggie

Haven't posted my Monday stats for awhile. As always, the scale is not my friend lately. I weighed myself this morning, and instead of losing, I gained a pound! YUCK!!

Here are my stats from this morning:
Weight: 256
Blood Pressure: 122/67
Fasting Blood Glucose: 134

My Monday Menu:

B-high-fiber cold cereal/1 cup 1% milk/Splenda
2 turkey bacon
V-8 (low sodium)
8 oz. water
1 cup of coffee

S- low-fat flavored yogurt

L- perfection salad w/dollop of Hellman's
1/2 cup l.f. cottage cheese
8 oz. 1% milk

S- SBD peanut butter cookie

D- Grilled chicken breast
Roasted cauliflower
Side salad w/ garbanzo beans and ranch dressing
8 oz. 1 % milk

S- Celery w/ mad cow cheese spread
a small handful of nuts
Water..water..water!

Maggie..you will be glad to know that I went for a walk OUTSIDE today. The weather is still cold here in Ohio (37degrees), but sunny. I walked down the unpaved road in front of our rural home (dodging the mud puddles), wearing my winter hooded coat. According to my pedometer I walked 1,716 steps. I was huffing and puffing by the time I got back in the house, but felt good that I actually went for a walk again. Waiting for the warm spring weather to get here, so I won't be so cold. (The cold air makes my chest hurt since my heart attack). Now, if I can convince myself to do it again tomorrow (weather permitting), I'll try to get into a regular routine. This may seem "old hat" to most of you, but for me it's quite an accomplishment.

Happy Monday all. From the other posts, it sounds like I'm not the only one that has slipped over the last few days. I was out of town for a few days at a basketball tournament and didn't eat very well. It is amazing how easy it is to find food that is not good for you but so difficult to find healthy food sometimes. I know my time in the grocery store has increased because it is harder to find food without the bad carbs or too much fat. Oh well, today is a new day.

B - omelet
sn - string cheese and soy nuts
L - hamburger patty, veggies
sn - ?
D - grilled pork chops, navy beans, veggies
de - fudge bar

Hi Everyone! I was horrible this weekend-- my DD's birthday and lots of family in town so I had a "planned cheat" weekend. To my surprise, when I weighed this a.m., I'd lost 1/2 a lb.! For some reason, that major cheat got me over my stall... this has happened a few times before to me too. Has anyone experienced this before too? What do you think causes this? Anywho, I'm back on track today and here's what I have planned...

B: V-8, banana smoothie (banana, 1% milk, DaVinci white chocolate syrup, ice)
S: Diet DP
L: SB frozen entree (Garlic Herb Chicken with Green Beans Almondine), salad
S: LC cheese wedge, Red bell pepper with hummus
D: Salmon with salad and broccoli
Dessert: Apple with natural PB

Have a great week, Everyone!
