Hi!

I know this has been asked before, but can I start with phase two?

I've tried phase one and I couldn't finish the two weeks, but I know I can do phase two - I've been to WW a million times and just can't seem to get into the whole points thing and end up starving, and south beach seems healthier and it seems as though you are encouraged to eat healthier...

so, would I still lose by starting in phase two?

thanks!
ps - are there any updates and changed to the book with phase 2?
TIA!!

Hi Larissa! I started with P2 and it's been fine. I did P1 once before and really struggled with it-- not because of the unhealthy cravings but because I saw very little weight loss or change in my body and it made me so frustrated that I wanted to cheat/quit. Because I didn't struggle with cravings, I figured I was okay to go ahead with P2 and forgo P1 this time. Also, I don't have a lot of weight to lose so I decided to do a really light version of P2 this time (with a piece of fruit a day to start and then adding in other healthy carbs very slowly). If your cravings are in check and you feel you'll be more successful starting with P2, then I say go for it. Good luck and keep us posted!

I started in P2 and have so far lost 35 lbs. It is really hard dealing with cravings on either phase but it sounds like you curb them quicker in P1. Make sure if you start in P2 you have a lot of will power in the beginning. I just wanted to eat everything in sight.
