What a mistake THAT was....!!

Well, I was running around this morning, and needed a quick breakfast, so I threw some FF milk, FF yogurt, some strawberries and half a banana into the blender. I also put a heaping teaspoon of psyllium powder in it too, hoping that it would counteract or "slow down" the fruit. It was yummy, and I was totally, gut busting full............for about an hour. Then I made a roasted chicken breast and a salad, took a 1 mile walk with DD, (any idea how long that can take with a 4 year old on a tricycle?) and was full, again for about an hour......Had a handful of almonds, and nothing..........still starving!! Now I know why they tell us NOT to eat fruit in the morning........

I will NEVER make that mistake again! Just trying to drink extra water to fill that "hole" in my belly.

Michele,

Sounds like you had a busy day!! I remember those days of a snail's crawl around the neighborhood with my little one on her tryke (DDs are now 15 & 11!!!!!!)

Next time try adding a piece of cheese to your breakfast drink and see how that helps. Let us know!!

Michele, I had to LOL at what you posted about your DD and the tricycle because I so DO know how long that takes! My DD just turned 4 and got a new trike for her birthday so we've made many of those slowwwwwwww walks around the neighborhood ourselves lately! :-)

I do drink a lot of fruit shakes in the a.m., but I also add something else with it-- ww English muffin with pb, or a turkey and cheese roll up or something like that. Maybe try something like that next time in addition to the shake? You're right-- alone they just don't stick with you for long.
