Suzy needs our thought and prayers

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to let everyone know that Suzy had to put Gandalf to sleep yesterday. He had developed an abcess around his eye and Suzy decided not to have him endure any more pain. ^Gandalf^ is hopefully now at the Rainbow Bridge with ^Missy^ and free of pain and suffering.
She is absolutely heart broken and I am sure can use all the hugs and support we can give her.
Thanks,

My heart is breaking for you.
Suzy,
I am so sorry - my thoughts are with you.

Ohhhh.... Suzie. Big hugs to you!!! I know you did the right thing, sweetie. I had to make the awful decision to have one of my beloved cats put down a few years ago. The treatment would have been awful for her and probably not successful, so it was the only humane thing to do. I can really feel for your pain and sadness. One of the hardest things about being a good pet owner is doing the best thing for them, even when it's hardest on you.
Big hugs! I know you did the right thing for little Gandalf. I'm sure he's in a happier place now.

Suzy, I'm so sorry for your loss. You are very brave to think of what was best for Gandalf.

Thought and prayers go out to you-I am so sorry about Gandalf. I know when I had to put my 17 yr old dalmatian to sleep, it was so heartbreaking and I miss him everyday, as he grew up with my son. He was very ill and was a fighter til the end. It is so hard to lose a pet.
Take care of yourself, I'll be thinking of you-Jeanine

Oh, Suzy, I am so sorry to hear about your baby!!! I know how hard that can be. We had a post running a little while back about this when Lisa (domino1) lost her kitty. I'll bump it up in Struggles and Support for you and anyone else who wants to see it. Also, here is the original thread from when that happened. A lot of people shared their stories (myself included), and I think it was somewhat therapeutic.

You made a tough decision, and one that is probably best for poor Gandalf. He is in a much happier place now without any pain, and I'm sure he knows how much you love and miss him.
I hope you feel better soon! I'll keep you in my prayers!

PS - Here's the link to the thread (a different one from above) that I said I'd bump up. I did bump it up in Struggles and Support, but here's a direct link:
