Hello

I am going to start doing this thread. Maybe that is what I need to give me a great big kick in the butt. I did so well last year. Made my goal weight in about 4-5 months. Then I had some stress in my life, combined with Christmas, New Year's, and I have gained it all back. I need dicipline, so maybe this thread is what I need.

B: 1 egg(fried with oo, two turkey bacon, lf cheese. V-8, vitamins and green tea
S: Raw veggies with hummus
L: Chicken ceasar salad, light jello with lf yogurt. One glass skim milk
S: PB & Celery
D: Leftovers: Salmon, asparagus, spaghetti squash & diet pepsi
S: Vanilla ricotta and a glass of skim milk

73 degrees!! Wow must be nice. It's still snow and cold here in Fairbanks Alaska. The time change should begin our melt. It didn't get dark until 9pm. Pretty soon it won't get dark until 2am. and even then it's not dark it's dusk.

I've realized that it's not that I'm eating really bad but that I need to limit my portion sizes. I'm just eating too much. I've been doing the exercise regularly and I'm happy about that but then I tend to eat more then I need to.

b: 2 eggs, sausage, ww toast and a V8.

s: baby bell lite

l: salad with ham, boiled egg, and cucumbers

s: baby bell lite

d: fish fillet with side salad

s: 1 small scoop vanilla ice cream with strawberries.

Hi Karen,

I remember you from last year! Congratulations for restarting - you're sure to be just as successful this time around.

I also fell off the beach for a couple of months - those holidays always get me! I gained 7lbs (was down to 151) but have already shed 3 of those. I like posting to this thread b/c I feel like it keeps me honest and it forces me to figure out exactly what I'm going to eat all day. I think it helps me.

Anyhow, nice to see you back! Good luck!

Kim,

The Big Easy Shrimp is one of my all time favorite South Beach recipes.

Hey Cathy! Yes, Big Easy Shrimp is a favorite over here and I make it frequently. My whole family loves it too. Have you tried it with scallops? Oh my, it's fab!!!

Thanks for starting the thread today! I always do much better when I check in with my menu.

I'm supposed to be doing P1, but I've slipped into P2 out of habit. I'll just stick with P2 lite and see how it goes, and if my cravings are gone. I'm having a hard time tonight, but it's because DH is working late again and we have no groceries.

B: 2 egg scramble w/zuchinni and a 1/2 slice of american cheese (not SBD friendly, but it was all I had); coffee w/milk

L: chili on salad

S: a few bites of DS's icecream (forgot about this til I started typing! No wonder I'm feeling weird....)

D: one garden burger, one fried egg, and a salad w/ red pepper, cucumber and garbanzo beans. This was a 'no groceries in the house' dinner and was NOT very satisfying. I'm desperately trying to hold off til I can enjoy my PB yogurt later. I may add a handful of GoLean to fill me up.

This is day 3 of me getting back on track. I'm hoping a couple of those OOPS pounds will start coming off in the next day or two so I can move on to my next goals. :)
