Vans Waffles - OK?
| Wed, 04-13-2005 - 1:12pm |
Hi all,
I found these in the freezer section of my supermarket. Are they okay? If so, could I really have two? Or just one? Let me know what you think.

There's another that has one less gram of sugar, but also has one less gram of fiber. Thanks for the help!

Hi katie,
Not sure. To me, it looks like these waffles pass the phase 2 test for fiber. I am concerned about the honey and the 5 grams of sugar it brings with it.
Anyone
Hi Katie,
We need a little more info.
Katie,
The Kashi Go Lean waffles are legal and yummy and probably right next to the Vans.
P.S. - I buy the Van's chocolate chip mini waffles for my 10 year old dd.
Thanks for the info. The waffles that are listed on the P2 Grains Guidelines are the Kashi Go Lean waffles, but I can't find them in my area supermarkets. I'm not much for making pancakes from scratch so I've been trying to find alternative pre-made varieties (haven't purchased any yet, though).
I checked the label and next to the serving size it says 106 grams for 2 waffles Hmmmm...so about 1.75g fiber in 1oz which is only half a waffle - with a little math, I guess I answered my own question! Not lookin' good for these waffles.
I'll be sure to keep this equation in mind when looking for other options. Thanks for the tips!
