I was at Costco yesterday and saw a couple of things that looked good and also SB friendly to me, but thats me the novice SBer, sooo to those that truly know what you are doing....are these OK??
Spinach Nuggets: 4 nuggets = 190 calories, 6 grams of fat, 3g of fiber, 0g of sugar, 11g of protein. Ingredients: Spinach, water, wheat protein (gluten), wheat flour, soybean oil, soy protein, onions, vegetable fiber, corn syrup solids, egg whites, yellow corn flour. There are a few other ingredients listed that say it contains less than 2% of them.
I mainly bought these for my kids, my 5 yr old DD and 1 yr old DS loved them (they were giving out samples) I figured it was a good way to get more spinach into their diet. I know nuggets are not usually 'good' but these are really almost all spinach with a little coating. After I read the ingredients I thought, hmm maybe I can even have some of these. What do you think?
Okay, next thing.....also found at Costco.....Chicken Barbacoa (mexican style chicken pot roast) 4 oz = 110 calories, 3 grams of fat, 0g of sugar, 0g of fiber, 20 g of protein. Ingredients: Chicken, water, crushed tomatoes, chili paste. Sounds good to me. What do you think?
I really appreciate your help. Thanks so much.
Oh, BTW ~ I weighed this morning and was at goal!!!!! I have lost 15 lbs!!! YAHOO!! Although my official weigh in day is not until Sunday so I will wait to officially celebrate until then.

I don't know, Nicol, but I wanted to congratulate you on your weight loss!!! That's fantastic!!!
I think you and I started SBD around the same time and had the same amount of weight to lose... I started on 2/21 and wanted to lose 15 lbs. Well, to date, I've only lost 4 lbs. but I'm still plugging along. I don't know what's up with this stall, but I'm glad to see that someone else with not much weight to lose did it so quickly. That's so great for you!!!
Also, I think your DD and my DD have the same b-day (March 19)??? My DD just turned 4 though. And I also have a 1-year-old DD (born in Nov. '03). Your kids are cuties!!!
I hope someone more informative than me can answer your questions. Those Costco items sound yummy!

Hi Kim,
Oh thank you very much. Yes we did start at the same time, neat :) Congrats
Hi Nicol,
Congratulations on hitting your goal weight!
Hi Nicol,
Yum, that Mexican dinner sounds great! I love Costco!
Yes, I'm exercising a lot-- 4-5 days a week. I hired a trainer yesterday and she is a WEALTH of information! She's tweeking my diet a little and gave me some good suggestions about my diet and exercise program so I'm really hoping I see more results quicker.
Congratulations again on your success!!!

Thanks Cathy! Of course I got up this morning and was up a pound. My body always seems to do that before giving into a good loss. It goes up
Nicol,
That weight loss pattern that you describe is probably very common.
