what are serving sizes?

On Phase 2, we're allowed up to 2-3 servings of starches and 3 servings of fruit: what is a serving size? Ditto for beans. TIA.

The general serving size for grains is one ounce.
Very helpful. Thanks!

Be careful on the bread - I cannot find a ww bread where one slice = 1 oz (which I believe is about 30g?) All the bread I can find that is 100% whole wheat one slice is about 45g - so 1.5 servings. So then if one slice is 45g it needs to have more than 3g fiber serving (because is has to have 3g fiber per 30 grams of bread) So its not always 1 slice = 1 serving if you want to get technical about it. Pain in the butt to figure out on the bread aisle with two screaming children I tell ya!!

No, I have never seen Sara Lee breads at all? I thought they just made frozen cakes LOL! Now a slice of one of those would be nice...:-) But I am sure that's not quite "legal" no matter what the size!
