Day 3

Good morning everyone!
Day 3 here. Alls well so far. Yesterday I actually had to go exchange some of the clothes I bought for Jamaica because they were too darn big beleive it or not. It felt great. Then my husband was telling me about a firend of his he ran into that lost like 30 pounds and he could not believe how much better he looked and the friend told him about a diet he was on (of course my husband does not remember the name hehe) but he said it sounded like the same one I was on because of what he could and couldn't eat. My husband said he told him about how he thought I was on the same diet and that I lost a a lot of weight in only two weeks...I just smiled! My husband is one of those that does not really get personal with people about things, unless it close close friends or family so I know he has taken a huge notice. He even has started to say..maybe I should start bulking up my muscles a little..I don't want to be walking around looking skinny..I might need to fight the guys off of you..hehe..It was just a fun comment but...I know he is thinking about making himself look more muscular (hes well defined but on the thin side) because I am improving my body image.
And by the way I tried on my size 9 jeans from way back and they fit! YEAH! They are a little snug, but I can zip them up. About 6 moths ago I tied them on to see how much weight I had gained and as soon as I got them to my thighs..i stopped and could already tell O did not even want to try and pull them up any further. It already did not feel right...this time I pullled them up and ZIP! hehe..(then I got carried away and started pulling out other clothes..(bad move)LOL..my size 6 reminded me I still have some work to do and motivated me to do another work out! So in a sense both sizes were motivators!
One quick question..is regular brown rice ok? And how does the ww spaghetti taste with some diced tomatoes and some garlic?
Thanks for listening everyone!

Ohhhh, exchanging for smaller sizes already.
Personally I notice NO difference at all with whole wheat pasta, it tastes the same to me and I like it just as much as regular. My kids don't notice a difference either, I've been making them mac & cheese with whole whole noodles (can't find actual macaroni shape so I use a spiral shaped one) They just gobble it up like normal. Dh doesn't notice a difference either, and I fed it to my dad while he was in town visiting (he is Italian, born and lived in Italy til he was 8 and goes back 2x a year) and he didn't notice a difference either. I didn't tell him what it was before - and after he ate asked if the pasta tasted different - nope, he said it tasted like every other dried pasta he has had (not as good as fresh homemade of course! But neither is the whilte dried stuff!)
But I've heard a few people here say they don't like it, I don't know if it depends on brand (I have only used Hodgson's Mill) or we just have really weird tastes!

I'll be interested to hear what you think of it! I wonder if we are just odd that it doesn't really taste different to us LOL!

I'll be sure to give you my review.
By the way is there any kind of oatmeal cookie recipe that would be SB friendly? (just wondering since oatmeal is OK and maybe s/f syrup for the sweetner)??
A lot of the jarred spaghetti sauces are fine, you just have to check for ADDED sugar in the ingredients. Some have it, some don't. But most homemade regular spaghetti sauce is fine (just don't add any sugar!) I still use my same exact recipe my grandma always made:
2T olive oil
1 onion chopped
2-3 clove garlic
1 cup red wine
2 can diced tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
1 T italian seasoning
2 T parmesan cheese
Heat oil, sautee onion and garlic. Add wine and boil until reduced by half. Add tomatoes, seasoning, and tomato paste and cheese. Simmer as long as you want! Sometimes at this point I add some other things like browned ground beef or turkey, or some other veggies like zucchini and bell peppers and mushrooms to make a "garden style" sauce. I also make triple batches and freeze it.

Oh and I forgot - all about spaghetti squash (with some pics)
