Scale shows small loss, but I fit into

pants that i haven't fit into in a year. I've only lost about 5 lbs. and it's day 18 -- basically i've made a couple of mistakes, but nothing drastic. I started Phase 2 Wednesday and have only added back 1 1/4 cups of shredded wheat -- no fruit yet.

Is it strange to see the scale hardly move but my clothes get looser and looser?

Karen, that's the story of my SB life! Are you exercising? I do know that this diet helps decrease tummy fat first on most people. I've been on the beach this time around for about 9 weeks and I've only lost SIX lbs. But I'm exercising like crazy (4-5x/week) and I've dropped for sure one dress size and almost two. I'm taking my measurements every 3-4 weeks to check progress that way. I'm thinking with all this exercise, I MUST be adding muscle/decressing fat-- there's just no other explanation. Still... it would be nice to see the scale budge a little more... I just keep plugging along and I guess, eventually, the scale will follow.

Keep up the great work!!!

I know we all like to see that scale move, but what better incentive than loose pants.

That's exactly what's been happening to me lately. It's a little frustrating that the scale's not moving, but I am definitely getting smaller! I also do a lot of exercise, mainly running, but some strength training too. I'm wearing pants I bought only
