Advice needed

I am on Phase II and have been for several months but feel like I am really on Phase III. I stick to the Phase II menu most days, but definitely allow myself refined grains and sweets a few times a week. I am wondering if that is sabotaging my weight loss and I should return to a strict Phase II.

I am 5'5" and I am holding steady at 125 pounds. I also excercise pretty intensely 5 or 6 days a week. I know that I am at a healthy weight, but my original goal was 120. I will occasionally drop down 2 or 3 pounds, but I never stay there long.

I have tried tweaking my menu to add more or less whole grains, more or less fruit, and more veggies. But my weight will not budge.

Do you think it's the "cheats" that are screwing me up? I don't feel like they cause cravings to return, but maybe they are keeping this weight on. Or maybe I am just at a healthy weight and I should stop worrying about it . . .

Since you have been on phase 2 for several months and have not lost any more weight, I would suggest eliminating the refined grains and sweets. Usually, all refined grains have a better alternative and there are many phase 2 sweets you can enjoy. Try it for a couple of week and see what happens....

I'll give it a shot. I was strict in the beginning of Phase II but I didn't lose any more weight then either. I'm just feeling kind of stuck.

Should you re-evaluate your goal weight? Maybe you are at your healthiest now. Again, I would go to strict P2 for 2 weeks and see what happens. If my weight stayed the same, I would then suppose that this is the best weight for me. Good luck, and let us know how you're doing!

Ok, starting tomorrow I will return to a strict Phase II and we'll see if my weight goes down at all in the next couple of weeks. I have a bunch of social events coming up, so I think this will be a good test!
