Just Tried a SBD Frozen Dinner

well, i thought it might make my life easier every once in a while. i had the pork with pecans and green beans. (1) it's simply not enough food for me; (2) didn't taste so great; (3) the sodium content is just outrageous; (4) when the pork is cooked the green beans are overcooked -- a lot!; and (5) i could make a better version myself. i'll experiment because the concept of the pecans with pork really sounds great. so now i'm making a salad 'cause i'm starved.
just thought i'd let you know.

Hey Karen,
It's funny that you and I tried the same dinner! I am not a fan of frozen food, but I thought the same thing: nice to have one in the freezer when there's nothing to eat!
I really LIKED it, though! I thought it was filling, the pork was tender, the green beans fresh and the sauce was tasty - even a bit spicy! I do agree with you on two points - yes, the sodium is crazy AND I know I can make it better myself.

It must be the night for quick dinners. I tried the Gardenburger southwestern chicken with veggies. I did add a small salad and jello with whipped cream.I enjoyed it. There is less sodium in the Gardenburger dinners and in my store they were cheaper.
I also brought the wraps. I am looking forward to trying these.

I agree it's not enough food for a meal so I cook it half way through and then add some more veggies! I bring the dinners for my lunch sometimes.

"If you ladies say it's not enough food, how about a small salad along with it?"
Wes, that's a great point!
