OK, I'm reaching here in the title...but it's just been one of those weeks at work, and I can't WAIT to be done with it!!!!!
QOD: Who is your inspiration for taking control of your food lifestyle?
A: Munchkin :-) I want her to learn healthy eating habits when she's with me and her father, so that means practicing what I preach, lol.
Today's menu:
B: Scrambled eggs w/ cheddar cheese
MS: 4 oz. yogurt
L: Salad, and soup if there's a P1-vegetarian friendly option available in the cafe
AS: Peanuts
D: Snacky stuff, probably...Munchkin has a playdate tonight, the kids are getting Wendy's for dinner, so I'll just pick from the cabinets.

Shan, this is a little off the topic of your post, but I was glad to hear how things are going with you and Munchkin.
Hi Everyone!
My inspiration for taking control of my food lifestyle is really myself and my kids. I want to live a long and healthy life so I can be around for them for a long, long time. I also just feel so much better when I eat healthy.
Having said that, I have not been doing great the last few days. Had a couple of bites of birthday cake at a party yesterday (skipped the pizza though!) and too much wine at a wine-tasting party last night. This week has been crazy so I also haven't gotten to exercise my normal 4-5 times (only once so far but am planning on 2 more times this week). I need to get back on track!
B: banana, Diet Dr. Pepper (in a hurry!)
S: yogurt
L: WW burrito (FF refried beans, LF shredded cheese, salsa, avacado), pear slices
S: V-8, Triscuit thin crisps and red bell pepper with hummus
D: Mexican chicken soup with salad and homemade raspberry vinegarette dressing
Dessert: SF/FF chocolate pudding

Things here are going well but I had a bit of a run-in with some chocolate chip cookies last night! Oh well - life :)! Here's what I have for today:
B: 1/2c. oatmeal w/ 3/4c. skim milk, small banana, FF SF vanilla latte
S: none
L: WW tortilla (large), veggie burger, 1 c. baby spinach, string cheese, goddess dressing.
S: baby spinach w/ some dressing.
D: not sure yet - probably just some tuna and veggies.
S: SBD PBC!

Day 1 of Phase 2!

The suns out So I did some walking for 30 mins.this morning.I really don't have a person who inspires me with weightwise or any other.
my menu today.
b=Lite Laughing Cow on 1sl of WW toast,1/2 c of blueberries & 1% milk.
s=spreadable fruit on a wasa cracker
l=turkey sausage on a WW hot Dog Roll with mustard, salad with dress.
S=apple
D=salad with f.v.,German Ham & Noodle Pancake(recipe) with green beans
Dessert=fruit Parfait

Overall, things are going very well with Munchkin...we've discovered a couple of vegetables that she likes, so I keep them on hand for her for the times she refuses to eat what we're having, which seems to make a difference.
As for things with her mother......mixed bag. On the positive side, she and I communicate more now which seems to ease the friction between her and TG (sometimes). On the other hand, she's feeling insecure about Munchkin living with me part time now, so there's a campaign of sorts going on of her marking her territory. We've come to agreement about some things, and I just figure the rest will get better over time once she calms down and figures out I'm not interested in "stealing" her kid.
I hope all is well with you, too, I'm slowly catching up with posts I missed during hiatus!
