Susie "toomuchme2005" How are you?

I've been thinking about you a lot today. I know you were really down about your stall when you posted a few days ago.....you've been quiet since then.
You're on my mind honey, and you are missed. I hope that things are going okay, and that you're not letting that scale be the boss of how you feel about what you're doing. You are doing GREAT. You've accomplished so much already. Please keep up the good fight!! Have a great weekend.
Love ya,

~Maggie~
Thank you for being concerned about me. I've been doing okay..still a little bummed out about this never-ending stall I can't seem to shake, even after going to my fitness program 3 days a week. I'm trying really hard not to base my progress (?) by the reading on my scales every Monday, but it's hard not to be discouraged each time I get on it and don't see any change from the previous weigh-ins. I've even gone so far as to give the scales a "frustrated kick", thinking it might be stuck! ;-) Now, is that being desperate, or what?
Getting my SBD "goodies" list made for our upcoming trip to Florida this week. I'm gonna get some individual containers to keep my perishable snacks in, and put the others in snack size baggies, so I don't go overboard on snacking while looking at the beautiful scenery when we head south. I think I'm prepared as far as eating out every day, and making the right choices. I've printed out the "fast-food's" list, got my "Good carbs,Good Fats" paperback packed, and a glycemic index list of foods. I'm bringing along some of my SBD bread, Fleischman's marg(for breakfast in the motel), and some apples and cut-up veggies to snack on in the motel. I'm sure the vending machines in the motel doesn't stock SBD friendly snacks! Plus the motel also has a fitness room that I will visit every day.
We will be leaving NW Ohio on Tuesday afternoon, and plan to be in Florida Thursday. I think we will be going through Savannah, Ga, too, on our way to the eastern coast of Florida (Titusville). I wish we had more time so I could make arrangements with you to stop in to see you and Chris for an hour or so, but not sure we will have time to. I'm sure you will be at work when we go through on Thursday. I'll holler your name out my window as we drive through Savannah, so maybe you can hear me! ;-)
The exercising is going really well, and surprizes me that I don't hurt quite as much after doing almost an hour of it each day. Like I told you before, I do 12 min. each on the bike, treadmill, seated stepper, and 5 min. on the arm rotator, and 12 repetitions each on the arm and leg lifts for weight resistant exercises. There are also very friendly people there who will ask you how your day is going. I feel like I'm accomplishing something when I'm done, whether it shows on my scales or not.
I'm hoping I'll get out of this stall soon, and see some results. I like this WOE, so I'm not giving up on it. On my next doctor visit, I will see if any of my blood tests shows any changes. I'll keep you updated occasionally, Maggie.
See you when we get back the first week of June. Keep your ears pealed for me hollering to you Thursday!!!
Later...~Susie~
Susie, how exciting!!!!
Savannah is a major tourist destination, it's so beautiful here.
~Maggie~
I sent you an email about stopping off in Savannah on our way to Florida. Please don't make any special plans for our visit, because I'm not sure if we will be strapped for time because of the wedding on our way TO Florida, but may have more time when we head towards home on the Tuesday after Memorial Day. I'll give you a shout, if we plan on stopping, but otherwise I wanted to thank you for the invitation.
Maybe being in Florida with the heat and humidity, I will be able to "sweat" some of this extra weight off of this body! But being fair skinned and a redhead (ahem), I burn easy and don't want to do that! I'm hoping to do good as far as staying as close to the SBD as I possibly can. This will be my first trip since starting SBD, so I may have a challenge ahead of me. Wish me luck!
~Susie~
Susie-
Maybe say to yourself that if I stay on the SBD and also stay away from the scale I'll have a big surprise waiting for me at home (a drop on the scale). They do say that changes in routine will break a stall.

That would be a great "welcome home" gift to myself! If only.....
Thanks for the words of encouragement..I need them right now. I'm gonna try my very best to stick as close to the SBD friendly foods as I possibly can while on vacation. We will do a lot of eating out, and I hope I'm well prepared with the SBD legal snacks I'm bringing along, plus my Good Carbs & Good Fats paperback, my list of fast food restaurants, and a glycemic index list.
I will stay away from any scales while on vacation, and hope my stall will end. The weather is supposed to be warm and humid, so maybe I'll sweat myself out of my stall!
;-)

I find that when eating out it's easy to stay on the SBD- just order the foods the way you want. I will order extra veggies instead of potato, salad bars, chef salads, blue cheese or oil and vinegar on the side. Some places even have breakfast all day and there is omlets with cheese and mushrooms. If I could dine out every meal, I'd have it made on SBD!
I'm going away for the weekend so I'm getting myself ready for staying on the SBD!
