Sunday Phase 2 Check In!

I know there aren't many of us around on Sunday - but I thought I'd start a check in thread anyways!
Kim - I saw your post yesterday on your 90 degree temps, I'd kill for it to be only 90 here LOL! We'll hit 112 today. Not fun :-(
Anyhow, yesterday we took the kids to San Diego (about 2 hrs away) and spend most of the day at the beach, then went and walked around in La Jolla, had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe (then went to Coldstone, sssshhhh! Actually, I had their "Sinless" fat-free, no sugar added one made with Splenda and had banana and nuts mixed in, so I don't feel TOO guilty!)
It was a fun day, but I was a total idiot and forgot to put sunscreen on my face - and I am paying for it today, I can't even smile without it hurting. Dumb, dumb, dumb...I know better. I got everyone else covered head to toe, but I just got rushed doing me and forgot my face. Anyhow, it was nice to wear a bathing suit for the first time in years and not feel totally awful in it! I did get one that was a tankini top with the bottoms that are more like shorts, so it hid my worst areas, but still, I couldn't have even worn that a year ago!

Today:
breakfast - Kashi waffle, turkey bacon
snack - none
lunch - SB frozen pizza, green beans, salad
snack - apple w/peanut butter, soy milk shake
dinner - Garlic Lime fish, asparagus
desert - yogurt with strawberries

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

It's hot here to in Northern CA, we'll most likely be in the 80-90's this week. I have not been very good on the SBD this week. I've over done it on my daily carb allowence. Granted they were all good carbs but still I know it has caused me to actually gain a pound or so since last week. I'm hoping to do better this next week.
b:SB cereal bar
s: atkins p'nut butter bar & v8,water
l: green salad w/tomatoes, black beans, cucumber & a dab of carbwell ranch, water
s: *possibly carrots & pnut butter
d:*planned* steak, green salad, watermelon & ice tea w/splenda

Hi MichaelAnn,

Just read this and had to respond:

and forgot to put sunscreen on my face - and I am paying for it today, I can't even smile without it hurting.

This happened to me and my dermatologist suggested cold milk compresses.

Thanks Cathy - I'm gonna have to try that - I'll try anything at this point. When I was a kid I remember my mom putting yogurt on a sunburn.
I'm just so mad at myself - I know better and usually try and take good care of my skin. I got a lot of burns when I was really young (my mom just didn't really know how dangerous it was then and didn't push us to wear sunscreen) So I am already paranoid I am gonna end up with skin cancer eventually...and here I am red as a lobster. *sigh*

Hi everybody - I don't usually post on this thread but thought I would check it out. OUCH MichaelAnn, doesn't the aloe help any? Our temp reached 68 so wasn't too bad but I'll be happy for summer weather.

Sundays are my worst days for eating properly. Kept my 2 month old granddaughter to give my daugher a break and oh my she doesn't sleep at night so we were up and then she slept til 8:15 and so did I so had to rush for church.

b-no time, grabbed handful of nuts on way out door, coffee
l-salad,SB meatloaf,SB mashed potatoes
s-ricotta cheese w/sf orange jello
d-I'm ashamed to even put this down-slice of pizza and small sundae

Weekdays are the best for me as far as eating and exercising. But this is better than I used to be.

Have a good week.

I woke up at 2:00 a.m. with a horrible sore throat and have been in bed most of the day. Needless to say, this has not been a great SB day for me.

B: Cottage cheese, 1 slice ww toast with Smart Balance, hot green tea

S: None

L: 1 can chicken and rice soup

S: 3 oatmeal cookies, 2 squares dark chocolate

S: 2 slices LF swiss cheese, cough drops

D: Nothing

Ugh... hopefully I'll be on the mend soon.

Oh KIm, I hope you feel better soon! I had strep back in Feb and I practically lived on the SB faux potatoes, soup and sugar-free popscicles for a couple days.
Take care of yourself, get lots of fluids and rest!
