Need some support!

I am getting discouraged that I can't really get my weight below 125. I am working out 5 or 6 times a week, plus yoga (sometimes) and I am on Phase II. I have done the three-day challenge, I have tried tweaking the amounts of my foods and varying grains and fruit but I really think I'm stuck. I know I cheat more than I should and maybe that is part of the problem, but even when I'm more strict the scale doesn't seem to budge. Last night I had too many nuts and sweet treats and was absolutely disgusted with myself . . . I was just feeling huge and unattractive. I don't know what to do!

Hey
I know it can be hard. I'm more or less where you are. I've been stuck at 130 for a while. Just relax. Stress can hinder weight loss. Are you sure you're getting enough sleep? I know it may sound strange, but if you don't get enough sleep, your body won't get rid of excess fat. Once you're soo close to your ideal weight, your weight loss is going to slow down A LOT. One of my friends is very very close to her ideal weight and she started the diet to get healthy and to just loose the little extra baggage she had... In her first month (2 weeks of phase 1 and 2 of phase 2) she lost 2 pounds. She's still excited about it though, cause she only had 5 to loose.
My whole point is just relax. Don't obsess so much that you stress yourself out over it. Also, it sounds like you're working out a lot. Even though the scale doesn't move, you are probably getting smaller. You're just replacing the fat with muscle, so the scale doesn't show a change.
Plateaus SUCK, I know... I'm there. Its sooo discouraging. But give it time. concentrate on drinking lots of water too.
Don't get on the scale for a couple of weeks (i know this seems crazy) but then when you do, you'll see a change, even if its small, and you wont be discouraged by the daily fluctuations.

GOOD LUCK!
Keep us posted!

Please try not to beat yourself up, you are doing a wonderful job. Make sure you drink lots of water to help counteract the salt intake. With as many workouts as you are doing I wouldn't doubt that you are building muscle. Are your clothes fitting differently? I bet you are getting more defined. Please make sure you are setting realistic goals for yourself so that you don't set yourself up for failure. Give yourself more time to adjust to your new eating and workout regime, your body apparently likes it where it's at and it will take some time before it decides to change.

I believe in you and know that you will do just fine. Be kind to yourself and give yourself a hug for being so diligent with working out and eating right. Don't let a few slip ups bring you down. You are doing awesome!

Love,

Tricia.

vaperkygirl, what happened? (((hugs)))

You are doing great! I think you are being too hard on yourself for the nuts. You had one bad day. Do something good for yourself - take a bubble bath, start a new book, give yourself a pedicure......

We all go thru stalls. Just hang in there - the whoosh fairy will come to visit you soon....

Hugs,

You are a size 2 and 125? How can you beat yourself up for that? You must have good muscle tone. How many more sizes can you go down? Beat yourself up when you are a size 18-20 and well over 200 pounds. Size two and 125 sounds great to me, plus I think muscle and shape is better than stick thin.
I do think based on body types we have sort of set weights that we won't go under, unless we starve ourselves.
BE Happy! Good for you to be so slim and healthy!

I'm wearing my size 2 suit today and trying to be positive! I just go through these phases sometimes where I'm upset that I'm not as skinny as I once was, but I realize we are only talking about five pounds and I am in much better shape and work out a lot more.

I am going to put away the scale for awhile because I become such a slave to it and fret over 2 pound increases and decreases. I am off on vacation this weekend and trying to just have fun!

Thank you all for your wonderful support!
