Gained 4 pounds!

I'm on my second week of Phase 2 and I am now up 4 pounds from what I lost in Phase 1. Last week I was up 2.5 pounds. I did one starch and one fruit last week, and this week I've done two. I'm starting to lose my motivation. I'm feeling like why am I on this diet if I'm gaining weight?

Don't get discouraged. Its actually very common for your body to respond with retaining a bit when P2 is first started. Stick with it, its not a permanent gain, once your body adjusts it will go away and take even more with it. There is a great thread (somewhere here, maybe someone has the link? )called "why the scales can lie" that helped me get through this rough spot when I started P2. I recommend you read it, think it would be helpful for you too.
But yes, also post what you are eating all day so we can see if there is something sneaking in that maybe more than just the common P2 short term hang up.
