Is everyone looking forward to the 3-day weekend? We are!! We don't have any plans, it'll just be nice to have dh home for 3 days - he normally works VERY long hours and the kids and I don't see him much M-F. So I love these long weekends. We'll just be doing projects around the house, finishing redoing our bedroom. We may head to a big mall/outlet center near LA to do some summer clothes shopping, we'll see.
Weigh in today for me - and I was back down to 147 since TOM is over, so that was nice.

Today:
breakfast - Kashi waffle, yogurt
snack - string cheese
lunch - bean burrito on ww tortilla, big salad
snack - apple w/peanut butter
dinner - ?not sure yet? I've been really bad about meal planning this week :-(
desert - pudding

MichaelAnn... Good job on the weight loss! You're doing so great! Also, I wanted to thank you for your support yesterday. You're right-- I HAVE worked hard and I DO deserve those awesome jeans! You helped make me feel less guilty about getting them since I haven't reached goal. I guess when I do reach my goal that I'll just have to find another really great reward to get myself! ;-)

Also, I had posted to you a few days ago but I think it got lost down below... I was wondering how your night out with your friends went. Did you end up buying some new, cute capri pants for it? Did you cave a drink a margarita (I know I would have)? I hope you had a blast!

Have a great weekend with your family!!!

Hi Everyone!

I'm taking my 4-year-old DD to Houston to visit my sister and BIL this weekend. We're also going to visit my best friend and her family. She just had a baby so that should be fun!

I went to a baseball game last night and ate fajitas (with the tortilla), a few chips, a piece of cake and 2 light beers. I weighed today and was down .5 lbs. Go figure. I ate bad and I have only exercised one day this week and I finally lose a little. I can't figure that out, but it always seems to happen.

Anyway, here's my menu for the day...

B: Scrambled eggs with cheese, cottage cheese, strawberries, V-8
S: Apple
L: Grilled cheese on ww bread
S: Red bell pepper and celery with hummus, V-8
D: Sauteed shrimp, asparagus, salad with BV dressing

No exercise today.

Have a great weekend, Everyone!

Hey Kim - sorry I must have missed the post! My night out was fun. I did find some cute pants, funny thing - I went to like 6 stores - and NOTHING. They were all down to my ankles, and the "petite" sizes just didn't seem to fit right either. I was giving up and stopped in WalMart for some other things, happened to walk by a rack of capri's that looked like they might fit! They fit perfectly (weren't even petite) and were only $10! So I got khaki and black! Anyhow, nope, no margarita - I had a glass of wine instead. Had fajitas (no tortillas) but did have a little of the full fat sour cream and cheese. It was really nice that I got lots of compliments though. No one had seen me since I've lost weight, and most of them didn't even know I had been dieting, so it was fun to see their reactions. I think that is what gave me the will power to stay away from the margaritas!

Sounds like a fun night out! That's so cool that they hadn't seen you since you lost weight. Good for you for staying on the beach-- going out with friends is hard for me.

I'm glad you found some cute pants-- and you can't beat the price! I've stumbled across things like that before and it's great!

Have a great weekend!!!

Thanks Kim - oh and congrats on that .5 lb! I have the same thing happen too, sometimes a cheat will cause me to kind of break a stall too. Don't know what it is, I've seen a lot of people here have that experience. Of course I know it wouldn't work as an ALL the time thing, but it seems that we have a "treat" meal about every 3-4 weeks and those are the weeks I lose the most!
Not recommending this of course :-)

We don't have a darned thing on the schedule for this weekend, and I am so excited about that. No haircuts, no gymnastics, no birthday parties, nothing. This is my idea of heaven. Any my birthday is next week, so DH just called to let me know he's going to take the kids on a LONG shopping trip one afternoon to get my gift. I told him the long shopping trip is gift enough. I'm probably not alone in the house more than 4-5 hours in a year! I remember when my second was born, I worked up until the week before my due date. We get paid for the month before, but I had too much going on. I had plans to keep my DD home 3 of the 5 days, and the other 2 days to go ahead and send her to pre-school. At that point, we'd lived in our current house for 2 years, and I had not yet spent a single minute in the house alone. I was sure that baby was going to come early, just so I wouldn't get that quiet time. Didn't happen - but both days I went and picked up DD before the day was 1/2 over because I felt guilty! Don't know why I ran off on that tangent, but here's my menu for today . . .

B - oatmeal
S - 1 oz. cheese
L - big salad with grilled chicken, BV
S - hummus on 1/2 a whole wheat pita
D - don't know - going to the store after work, probably out somewhere for dinner
S - fruit smoothie

Have a wonderful holiday weekend!

My only plans for the weekend are to relax and enjoy it. My dbf just returned from a seven day hunting trip in Canada, so he is exhausted and looking forward to taking it easy.

Today's menu
B- oatmeal with peanut butter and milk
S- V-8 and cheese stick
L- Huge salad with turkey and feta, oil and BV, yogurt with splenda and vanilla.
S- probably some more yogurt maybe with peanut butter.
D- Grilled lime chicken, black beans and fresh asparagus.

Have a good week-end and stay safe everyone.

Julie
