Chinese buffet!

Went to a chinese buffet for dinner tonight. Wanted to share my menu for the day and dinner to get feedback. Anything I did wrong? I tried to make sure everything I ate was SBD ok or if I wasn't sure I would just take a little of that particular dish. I started off with a salad and then went for the protein.

Saturday – 5/28/05
L-Wendy's Mediterranean chicken salad
Small Diet Pepsi
S-Coffee
D-Chinese buffet: Salad (chick peas, tomato, cucumber, onion, mushrooms…), green beans, chicken w/broccoli, about 10 shrimp, 2 small BBQ ribs, 2 small crab legs

I woke up late today and missed breakfast. I'm also planning on having a bowl of All-Bran w/ff milk (and maybe a SBD ok yogurt too - I'm a late night snacker! Wish I could break that habit, but at least I stick with SBD foods).

Any comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks for the support!

Hi,

I think you did very good at the buffet.

I think you did great too (other than the ribs - but not the end of the world either) Chinese food is a tough one - I SO love all the sweet sauces - which of course usually have sugar, MSG, etc.
You sound like you made the best choices - that's what its all about! Bravo!

Thanks for the feedback. The ribs were my sweet meat treat for the night. =) I did make sure they were small and had none of the icky fat on them. And correct the shrimp were not fried (don't know if they have a name when they're just regular). Giving myself a pat on the back for how well I did - even if some of my family looked at me funny. =/

BTW the coffee I had earlier in the day was a small Dunkin Donuts french vanilla latte w/skim milk and sweet & low. I'm beginning to crave coffee more often (just a small cup a day - nothing major), but I blame it all on my coworkers because they are coffee addicts! They can't begin their day without coffee!

Again thanks for your comments and enjoy the holiday!
