fellin really guilty

hey guys. i had a graduation party for my cousin today, but i only had chicken, a little beef and green beans. but when i got home i definitely had too many peanuts. i just feel really fat and bloated and overweight. when i run out of food at my house because i have a limited universe of foods i can eat because im pretty much the only healthy eater in my house, i get so upset and start crying!! ooo and i definitely think i have too much yogurt during the day so i always feel guilty for that too!! i feel like when i do get to indulge, i still cant only have a little. any advice on keeping my limited indulgences in check?? everything in moderation is hard because i never have only a little!! i really need to train myself.....HELPPP!!

I am of no help, because I too, moreso than you, overindulged today. Ugh. Feeling so bloated. I cheated, gotta get back on it come Monday, well today was okay actually. But yesterday I had Mexican Out, managed to avoid tortillas, and do fajitas with chicken, ate some chips and salsa, had a beer and some wine, yep, ate regular cheese later that night at friends house and a few more BBQ chips. Oh and had some garlic bread. And had about 5 Dove dark chocolates, so good SO good, yet so BAD! I am on P1 not P2 still.
So I really blew the SB Plan.
Also, I think some days I feel more bloated than others, for me I do think it is too much dairy, too much yogurt and / or milk, so I have to experiment and figure what works best for me.
Let's hang in there and figure this out! :)
Kerry,
Hey, you didn't blow it - don't be so hard on yourself!! You did great at the graduation party right? Okay, so you ate too many nuts - even though nuts are limited on SBD, they are healthy for you. It's not like you ate too many M&M's, right? Hang in there and increase your water intake to help the bloated feeling go away! The yogurt is fine. Due to your age I think it is fine for you to go over the limit on dairy - especially yogurt.
Let's see if I can help you with your grocery list; you have asked this question before. What kinds of foods have you been buying? What do you like? Are you often low on healthy meal-type food at home, or snacking foods? What kind of non-SBD foods are the most tempting to you - maybe we can find some healthy alternatives.
Post again here, and let's get you feeling good and on the right track again!
HUGS,
Liz,
Okay, so you had a bad day. It doesn't have to mean that you "blew the SB plan".
Just jump right back in. Go shopping for the right foods, do your meal planning, eat all your snacks and meals. Also, be sure to drink plenty of water today; it will help you feel better with the bloating. Next time you are going out, eat a healthy snack before you go and this will help you to make better choices.
Hang in there and let us know if you have any questions!!
Kerry,
Hi, sweetie!
I can remember feeling like that too though when I was younger. I used to literally starve myself for days because I thought I wasn't as thin as all my friends. I lived in a coastal, surfer town, and all my friends and I lived on the beach. I was so jealous of what I thought were their "perfect" bodies, and I hated mine. Most of them were size 0 - I was a size 6/7. So I covered up, starved my self, hated my body. But ya know what? Looking back now 12 years later - I actually looked pretty darn good back then! When I look at pictures of my self from high school I think "man - I was a lot hotter than I thought I was!" I just didn't let myself see it. Now I wish I had just enjoyed the body I had then, and spent more time having fun, dressing cute, etc. than stressing about what I *thought* was my weight problem.
Anyways, I don't know if that helps any...but us women are awful at seeing our bodies for how beautiful they really are. Please don't be so hard on yourself!

Kerry,
I agree with what Cathy and MichaelAnn have already said. You definately need to improve your body image!
As for your questions... One of the basic principles of SBD is that you eat food from the Foods to Enjoy list until you are satisfied. We start with a 'suggested' portion size, but are permitted to eat more if still hungry. As an active young woman, you need more calories to sustain and satisfy. As long as you are not pigging out on junk food, you should be fine. Take a look at the other girls at school. Are they eating as healthy as you? I doubt it.
Here are some tips that are commonly suggested to dieters that may help you feel more in control.
Kerry, I hope this helps. Now go out and buy a really cute bikini!! You are going to look great this summer!!
Glad to hear you sounding so upbeat, Kerry!
Your "numerous questions and rants" are
Hi Kerry,
I agree with what all the other girls here already told you.
