TGIF - Friday check in
11
Fri, 06-03-2005 - 1:54pm

Thought I'd start us off today since I don't see a check in for today.  You all must be busy.  Seems like a slow day here on the boards.  I have been shopping online this morning.  My boss has been gone all week and I don't have a darn thing to do!  I bought a new bathing suit - not that I am ready to get into one, but we are taking a long weekend to Glenwood Springs in a couple of weeks.  Looking forward to the hot springs and lounging by the pool!  Here is my plan for today:

B-steel cut oats, milk, coffee

S-V8, slice jarlesberg lite swiss

L-leftover taco salad from last night

S-yogurt & strawberries

D-SBD frozen entree (pizza night for the kids)

S-pudding

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Andrea

Andrea - I'll bet you look better in a bathing suit than you think. I'm still at 211 pounds, but I ordered a new suit a couple of weeks ago (one of the tankinis with shorts on the bottom). Having a suit that fits makes all the difference. I had been wearing one that was 2 sizes too big, and although I'm realistic about how I look, I look MUCH better in the one that's the proper size.

Yesterday was my birthday, and I ate cake - TWICE! I haven't had cake in almost 18 months, since I started Atkins last February. I had decided I was going to eat the carrot cake that the office ordered for my birthday celebration, and I did have a small piece. I ate phase I the rest of the day. Then DH surprised me with a cake at home, so again, I ate one small piece. I actually felt groggy in the afternoon, and I'm sure it was the sugar, but I had decided I was going to do it, and I'm guilt-free (and back on plan) today.

B - oatmeal, strawberries, skim milk
S - cheese stick
L - large salad with black-eyed peas, lots of veggies, crab, BV*
S - skim milk steamer w/SF syrup
D - leftover crockpot unstuffed cabbage (recipe is down in the recipe section)
S - SBD PB cup

* I also had maybe a 1/4 cup of a casserole that was on the vegetarian bar. It was called spinach, artichoke and ricotta pie. It was wonderful, so I've asked our catering group for the recipe. I'll post it when I get it. From what I could tell, it's Phase 1 friendly.

Have a great weekend!

Okay checking in P2. I seem to eat more than all of you, when reading your snacks and meals it just does not look like much to me, but hey I like to eat, A LOT. :)

B: turkey and slice of bread, tea, 1 slice cheese
S: 2 laughing cow cheese, 1 c soy milk, piece of leftover chicken
L: 1.5 cups of black beans/onions, green salad, artichokes/feta
S: 5 pieces of dark chocolate (couldnt resist, too soon i know but friend had them, im bad) lowfat homemade oat/wheat muffin
D: chicken breast sauted, big greeen salad, broccoli
S: .5 c yogurt with blueberries and fudgebar
another late nite snack: piece of chicken

I know i overdid the sweet treats and overdid the grains. Ugh, I need to go shopping and get more veggies.
I am hungry all the time. I eat all day, that is what it feels like.

I am use to eating 2-3 big meals, very big, lots of carbs and not many snacks, hardly any snacks, so getting use to small and no 'bad' carbs is taking some time and making me hungry.

Advice is always appreciated. Tell it like it is!!!!! lol

thanks
