I can't believe I am saying this, but I am starting South Beach for the second time. When I first read that others had "slipped" or "failed" on this, I couldn't believe it because I found Phase 1 to be easier than I expected and I lost 8 pounds.
Well, it happened to me. Yes, I indeed "slipped" BIG TIME. And thank god I am not the only one. So, I have four weeks until a vacation to Ocean City. I plan to start P1 for a few days to get my cravings back in check and then move to phase 2 (as I understand it, I shouldn't start p1 for 2 weeks again right?).
I am 5'0 and weigh 138. I want to get to 120 in four weeks and my long term goal is to get to 110.
Wish me luck and please, tell me if I am headed in the right direction!

It's okay, and has happened to most of us!
You are right. Go back to phase 1 for a few days to get the cravings in check and then start adding back the fruits and grains.
Susan is right! Meal planning is so key to keeping us on track!

Thanks Susan...I do write down meal plans and usually this helps me stick with it. I also have hard boiled eggs and things made in advance.

Thanks Karen...do you usually plan your meals a day or a week in advance? I write out sample meal possibilities (e.g., breakfast ideas, lunch ideas, etc.) and then choose one and make it either the night before or right before I eat it.
