Weight gain?
| Mon, 06-06-2005 - 11:23am |
Hey all,
I reported in a couple weeks ago that I was going to stop the daily weigh-ins because they drive me insane. Instead I have just been weighing in on Fridays. Anyhow, I am up two pounds. I know I had been having slip ups but I have really improved and I'm a little confused as to what happened. 127 is definitely too big for me and I'm not fitting in my clothes very well anymore. Any advice?
Thanks!

Hi vaper!
Can you post some menus for us to take a peek at?
Ok, I did a quick survey of my menus over the past two weeks. While my menu varies, my trends are the same. Basically I stick to Phase II perfectly for two or three days a week. Another two or three days I cheat . . . usually it is work food and I'll eat a few crackers or something sweet. Another two or three days I will overdo some of the good SBD foods like too many nuts, too much fruit, or too many grains. So that seems to be my problem.
I need to reign in the slip ups. I actually do not like cheating for the most part. Special occasions are one thing but I generally eat bad work food because I'm hungry and that is what is available. So I stocked up on almonds and I'm bringing even more veggies into work this week. I'm not sure how to cut back on the overdoses of good food although I threw out my peanuts that tempted me after work and I bought almonds which I like much less and thus am less likely to over do. I think if I pay closer attention to my menu I can make sure I'm not having too many grains.
As far as the right amounts of good foods, I generally get in all my veggies, plenty of lean proteins, and the only place I need to improve is with dairy. I am lactose intolerant so this is hard. I always have a glass of soy milk in the morning and I need to add another cup of something at night. I tried yogurt but it still bothers my stomach a bit so I think I'll make up some sf/ff pudding this week to supplement my dinner. I also need to make sure I eat enough because it's when I get too hungry that I slip up.
Anyhow, that's my self analysis for the day! I know I can make it back to 125 soon!
