Starbucks question again!! :)

Hi everyone! I have another question regarding Starbucks... I have been on phase 2 now for about 5 weeks and doing fine - not really losing anymore (half pound here and there) but not gaining any either. I have about 6 more pounds to get to my goal weight. I am really taking a good look at what I am eating etc. and definitely know that I have been cheating here and there a tad so I am going to fine tune myself a little and see if the tweaking doesn't help me start losing again. My question though is this - about once, maybe twice, a week I go to Starbucks and get a grande iced skim latte and bring my own Davinci sugar free chocolate syrup (about one ounce) with me to add into the drink to make it like a mocha latte. It works perfectly and completely satisfies me and makes me think I am really having a treat. I have been counting this as my dairy for the day when I do do this... Is this ok? Or am I sabotaging myself without knowing it? All that's in these drinks are the espresso, skim milk, ice and the sugar free syrup I add myself. I totally enjoy these little treats but if I am doing something wrong then I want to know!!

Thanks so much!!

Hi Lisa, Yes, you are doing fine with this drink, and you do count the skim milk in it toward your daily Dairy.

Lisa,

A 'grande sugar-free vanilla non-fat latte' is my favorite at Starbucks. When I started SBD over 18 months ago, milk was not permitted on phase 1, so I had a tough time of it. Now, we are lucky that the benefits of dairy in weight loss have been recognized.

Here is an article I found in

Lisa, I just had to add that I LIVE for my several-times-a-week FF/SF iced vanilla lattes from Starbucks. They feel like such an indulgence to me!

Also, I feel for you on the slowed weight loss. It happens when we get close to goal. I have about 7-8 lbs. left to lose and I rejoice over every .5 lb. I drop. I know it will happen, but patience is not my thing! LOL. Hang in there!!!

When ordering a Skim Iced Latte, must we say Sugar Free??? I noticed the original poster orders Skim iced lattes, but see some of you order SF Skim Iced Lattes?

There is a difference if you are ordering flavored syrups for your coffee. Only a few of the flavors are available as

Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement and for answering my starbucks question. I am truly an addict and could probably have it every single day but I limit myself to once or twice a week... Glad to know that I am not alone!!! :)
