Up my grain/fruit intake?

I wanted to know if I should be increasing my grain/fruit intake since I've been on P2 for 7 wks. I have still been losing weight slowly (bit too slow, but I'm just impatient) and I feel good. On days when I hit the gym I have a 3rd serving of grains in the form of a Trail Mix Kashi bar (I read in a previous post that they were ok), which taste great. But should I up it in general? Thanks.

Hi Amy,

Yes, you should be working towards 3 grain servings per day and 2 to 3 fruit servings.

I think it would be helpful to get more veggie servings in.

Thanks for the help. Happy to find out I should be increasing my grain. The sandwiches I'll be making!! How should I work my veggies in? I'm thinking I want to try a snack with cucumber slices. Ideas? I'm excited to be picking up the SBD cookbook from the library today. Heading there right after work. Hope you're having a good morning.

Hi. I eat alot of cucumbers and only buy english cucumbers - seedless and *burpless*. I use them as dippers - dipping them in alouette lf cheese or hummus usually. I also add them to all my salads for a good crunch. Another favorite is a ww pita veggie sandwich - diced or julienned veggies with a smear of hummus and some sprouts - YUM!
