Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! Ours was busy, but fun.
I finally lost another lb. after being at 133/134 for almost 2 1/2 months. I'm re-evaluating things and am thinking about going on to P3 after I get to 130 lbs. I know most of you know this (I've complained enought about it!), but I've been doing the SBD since 2/21/05 and have only lost 8 lbs. I work out HARD 4-5 days a week and rarely "cheat" and am baffled by this constant stall. So maybe 130 lbs. is just more realistic for me. I don't know. I'm 5'3". I am pleased that every time I take my measurements, that they have decreased since the last time I took them and I'm happy that I've dropped almost 2 dress sizes since February. But I hate weighing myself only to see all my effort and hard work have no effect on the scale. So I'm done with the scale (almost) and want to focus on continuing toning up and eating right. I love this WOE and have no intention of quitting, but I think making my new goal weight at 130 lbs. and focusing less on the weight that I'll be much less frustrated and much more focused on my overall well being. Any thoughts on this epiphany of mine? ;-)
Anyway, enough rambling... here's my menu for today...
B: Kashi waffle with SF syrup, scoop cottage cheese with blueberries, Diet Dr. Pepper
S: None
L: Leftover Big Easy Scallops, asparagus, V-8
S: Red bell pepper and hummus, banana "shake"
D: Omelet with vegetables and cheese, ww toast with Smart Balance, V-8
Dessert: Maybe SF/FF pudding or nothing

Hey Kim - I say forget about the scale and be happy with the way you look and that you have lost TWO sizes! With all the working out you do I am sure you look FABULOUS! I am sure you have built up muscle and lost fat (ya know, muscle weighs more than fat.........which I am sure you have heard a lot of that here). Anyhow - that's my opinion on the matter ;-)
No loss for me this week - AF is due in a few days so I am guessing that is why. Here's my plan for today:
B-eggs with cheese & salsa, V8, milk & coffee
S- yogurt
L - tuna stuffed bell peppers, salad
S- strawberries & cheese
D- grilled chicken, cauliflour & sweet potato
S- pudding
Hope everyone has a great day!

Happy Monday! I am soooo tired today, was up til midnight last night (not usual for me!) and of course the kid were up at 6am on the dot as usual. So mom was up as well. We just had tons of projects around the house to get done this weekend as we have family coming to visit next week. We redid our bathroom (painted, new flooring) and we put new carpet in the kids rooms. My knees/back are killing me today!
But I am down 2 more lbs! So that is nice! Its going to be a real challenge to exercise today, I hate doing it when I am this tired.
Kim - this is just my personal opinion - so take it for what its worth (nothing really LOL!) But I think you've got the right idea! I think our goal weights need to fairly flexible and not set in stone. 130 is certainly a healthy weight for your height - and it may just be more realistic for you body type/frame/genetics/etc. But I believe that as long as we are eating right, excercising, etc. that our bodies will "settle" into an ideal weight. So I would just keep doing what you are doing, and be flexible with your goal.
Breakfast - Kashi waffle, Morning Star Farms sausage patty
snack - soy milk shake w/banana
lunch - turkey sandwhich on ww pita, salad, roasted veggies
snack - apple with peanut butter
dinner - blackened salmon, sweet potato fries, asparagus
desert - yogurt

NO loss this week for any of the amigos. :-( I for one an baffeled I think I am going to evaluate everything and see for the first time how many calories I am consuming. I thought for sure I would have lost this week I don't cheat, I exercise 5 days a week and I know I eat right I feel totally healthy and I don't think that regardless I could go back to my old eating habits But I still have a lot of weight to lose.
Bought a new car this weekend as to say way to go Nichole for making you life healthier
B-Egg on WW wrapp, LC cheese, turkey bacon, V-8
S- Orange peppers and hummus
L-Salad with chicken, Peas, cheese, avacado and southwest Ranch (SBD friendly)
S- I can't decide either a cranberry SBD cereal bar or yogurt
D-Baked salmon stuffed with spinach served with fried cabbabe
s-maybe an apple with peanutbutter
Hello...
I learned a couple of new things this weekend, lol:
1) Horses LOVE s'mores...we were having a cookout on the beach on Assateague Island, and a bunch of the "wild" ponies showed up out of thin air and stole the marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate off our table. They left absolutely everything else, but the s'mores were history (one of them even opened a bag of marshmallows with its teeth and shook them all out for its buddies, I had no idea horses did that).
2) They're also big fans of watermelons, which I suspected but wasn't aware how far they're willing to go to get it. We were sitting at the table eating watermelon with breakfast the morning after the s'mores incident (and yes, we double-checked to make sure we were horse-free before bringing out ANY food, lol, they must have been staking us out)...and three ponies walked right up and nosed in between us at the table and stole our watermelon.
3) Pay VERY close attention to allergen information on sunblock! I thought I was being a good girl, wearing SPF 50, but apparently my face didn't think so and I got burned anyway, plus now it's swelled up like a beachball. I'm hiding out at home for a couple of days, I can't imagine going to work like this (I won't even clean the bathrooms while I'm home because there are mirrors in there!)
So there will be very little cooking going on for a few days, although I'm attempting to stick to P2-friendly foods. I know my veggie count is low, I'm short on straight-from-the-fridge edible veggies until I can send TG to the store.
Today:
B: Oatmeal Cookie WW Pancakes from my emergency heat-up stash
MS: A cup of dry cheerios
L: Cheese sandwich on pumpernickel, yogurt
AS: Planning to have fruit salad and raw veggies
D: Veggie tuna salad of some sort
De: FF/SF pudding, probably

Kim - I agree with your plan. You've got to be building muscle with the amount of exercise you do, and the real judge is how your clothes fit. Nobody has any idea what the scale says but you. If the scale is frustrating you, but you feel good and look good, forget the scale.
MichaelAnn - way to go on losing another 2 lbs.! I see you're within 10 lbs. of your goal now. That's wonderful!
I had a good weekend. We went to a festival Saturday night that I was sure would cause me to be tempted, but I did fine. Had falafel dipped in hummus. The falafel was probably too high in fat, but other than that, it was a good choice considering the options.
For today . . .
B - fruit smoothie, oatmeal
S - 1 tbsp cream cheese
L - big salad with lots of veggies, crab meat, and Asian Sesame dressing
S - probably 1 tbsp. pb (can you tell I forgot my snacks?)
D - filet mignon on the grill, salad, green beans, hummus with ww pita
S - sbd pb cup

Hi all,
I'm new to SBD but am starting at P2 because I'm nursing my 3 week old son. I've read & posted on this board, but this is my first time "checking in" and posting a daily menu. Please feel free to let me know if you see anything wrong with what I am eating. Thanks!
B-smoothie w/ mango, peach, nf plain yogurt, nf milk, splenda
S-1/2 ww bagel w/ light cream cheese, decaf coffee w/ lf milk & splenda
L-frozen SBD pizza
S-1/2 large apple w/ peanut butter, glass of nf milk
D-ww pasta w/ meat sauce, salad w/ sf ranch dressing
Andrea, thanks so much for your support. I do feel great and am proud of the "non-scale" progress I've made. :-) For now, I'll just keep on keepin' on, I guess.
Hugs,
Kim
MichaelAnn, you are rockin', Girl! You are getting so close to your goal and I know you must be so proud! I can't wait to see your before and after pictures. Wow!
Thanks for your support. I guess I'll just see how it's going at 130 lbs. I'm only 5'3", but I'm curvey-ish so maybe it's just realistic for me now. I was 122 lbs. when I got married 10 years ago but I've had two babies since then and am 10 years older! I do wear the same size though now, so go figure. Anyway, as always, I appreciate your wisdom and support.
Get to bed early tonight! Being tired is hard, but it sounds like you got tons done!
Kim
Lora, thanks! You're right-- nobody knows what the scale says except me (and you guys... ;-)). I'm going to just ride it out and see how it's going when I get to 130 lbs. At the rate I'm going, it will be awhile anyway!
Good job on the good choices at the festival. I find those types of situations so hard!
Have a great day and thanks again for your support!
Hugs,
Kim
Hi Everyone!
