so, this week I start to increase my bread/starches to 2 servings per day... do i need to keep the servings separate or can i eat both servings at one time (having 2 ozs at one time) - what about when I increase to 3 servings per day? Does eating all your servings at one time do more harm than eating them separately throughout the day?

Thanks in advance for any info!

Hi,

Sometimes I have a whole english muffin which counts for 2 grain servings.

I have, occasionally, saved all of my bread servings so I could have a bag of microwave popcorn (OR 94% fat free snack size) while I watch a show before bed. Since I go to bed right afterwards, I slept through any cravings I might have suffered as a result. Since I have two little ones (6 yo DD and 2 yo DS), I rarely watch television, so I consider watching a show with a bowl of popcorn a real treat.

thanks - that's helpful. so it's not that eating all servings at once will halt my weight loss or increase my insulin, but rather there's the worry for cravings. I just can't imagine sitting down for dinner and having a 1/2 cup of pasta. i'd rather save all my servings up and eat a cup and half if possible!

thanks for the info!

Doing this on occasion certainly would be fine.
