Happy Monday everyone! How was the weekend? Ours was good. My dad came down to visit, so we had a fun Father's Day - went out to brunch, took the kids swimming, went out to dinner. Did pretty well with food, not perfect - but not too bad either.
Today is my kids first day of "Zoo Camp" (a week long, half-day camp at our local zoo) They are SO excited! And my dad is here until tomorrow, so tonight we are having a few people over and BBQing.

breakfast - Kashi Go Lean, milk, banana
snack - string cheese
lunch - turkey sandwhich on ww pita, salad
snack - apple with peanut butter
dinner - grilled steak and chicken, lots of grilled veggies
deserr - yogurt w/berries

First day back to work, it's going better than I thought, only a few comments here and there but all from people who didn't know why I was out last week and just assumed that I came back from the beach yesterday, lol. So the medicine is helping and overall I feel better, just wish I really HAD been at the beach all week!

I was particularly proud of myself yesterday, Munchkin and I took TG out for Father's Day. We went to Outback, where I declined the Bloomin' Onion. I wasn't sure what the verdict was on the dark bread they serve, but I did eat some because it was a better choice than any of the fried appetizers (although much less of it than I have in the past!). I went for the grilled shrimp Caesar salad for an entree and shared an order of the steamed crab legs with TG. Afterwards we went to Cold Stone Creamery for dessert....not sure if any of you have one near you, but it's sin in tubs and oh so yummy :-) They have a fat-free, NSA, Splenda-sweetened flavor, so I tried that with some nuts and mini-chocolate chips, and it was much better than I expected, so yay! They had a bunch of signs up advertising that they are planning to expand the "Sinless" line, so I'm looking forward to having more selections soon!

Today's menu:

B: scrambled eggs w/ cheese
MS: Peach w/ vanilla yogurt (Light 'n' Fit)
L: Vegetable Lasagne and a salad
AS: Kashi bar and/or an orange
D: Lentil-Rice Casserole
De: Slice of Maggie's Chocolate Pie

Just happened to see your comment on Licks...their large garden salads are REALLY good, especially compared to the nutritionally devoid iceberg lettuce crap they serve at other places, especially Harvey's...I have a box of Lick's nature burgers in my freezer that I eat with roasted veggies as a quick lunch...

Good morning, everyone! We had a great weekend. Had kind of a lazy day Saturday, but we did go to a local farm and pick fresh strawberries. Sunday we spent the day at a railroad station about 90 minutes away seeing Thomas the Tank Engine. I didn't eat anything I shouldn't, but I'm up a couple of pounds today. Although I didn't eat anything I shouldn't, I really just didn't eat enough, lots of protein, very little fruit or veggies, and zero dairy, so that's probably the root of this problem. Hopefully I'll be in better shape when I weight tomorrow.

B - fruit smoothie
S - celery and lite alouette
L - big salad with lots of veggies, crab, BV
S - SBD crackers
D - SBD taco meatballs, salad, some sort of veggie
S - Maggie's chocolate pie

Have a great day!

When I go to Lick's I get a large garden salad with sundried tomato dressing and a Nature burger. I eat the bun b/c I'm on P3 and the bun is somewhat whole grain...but you could also have one of the Weightless Platters..now that you are in P2 you can even have the fruit! As for the ice cream, I usually have a small scoop, not a large hot fudge sundae like my BF. :P

I've had the ColdStone "Sinless" as well - its VERY good. I had nuts and bananas mixed into a small and shared with dh. It was really nice to be able to take the kids out for ice cream and have something there we could have a treat as well! They only had it in one flavor, sounds like they may be adding more!

hi been awhile since I checked in. Thanks for all your support over the last few weeks, I am feeling very good, had some cheats with my birthday and other parties, but got back on track immediately.

I still love advice and tips, so feel free to comment-

B: Oatmeal with blueberries, handful of Almonds
S: celery with peanut butter, V8
L: turkey sandwich on rye bread (1 slice)
S: yogurt with cinnamon and strawberries
D: Salmon, huge salad, broccoli

too much bread/starch???, not enough dairy? I am not big on dairy I am discovering, so I do mostly yogurt for dairy, too much fruit?
I am losing inches slowly, I really need to step up my exercise, I have been lacking in that area.
I have not weighed myself cause I tend to gain muscle easily and I find taking note of clothes and inches better for me, at least for now.
