Are these ok for a little cheat now and then? What do you do for pretzels?

Happy Herbert's Honey Wheat Pretzels
Ingredients: Unbleached wheat flour, honey, whole wheat flour, yeast, barley malt, soybean oil, salt, sodium bicarbonate

Cal 110
Total Fat .5g
Total Carb 24g
Dietary Fiber 1g
Sugars 3g
Protein 2g

I know the first ingredient is not the best, but I'm looking for a p2 pretzel that I can buy at Whole Foods or something. I'm below my goal weight already, so I thought I'd go for 5 more, but wanted to add a few treats back into my life.

Thanks- S

Ugh- can't spell.... sorry about title. and here is the link:

Hi S,

Unfortunately, your pretzels aren't SBD friendly at all.

Not a big fan of ordering pretzels online, so I'll keep searching locally. I knew the first ingredient was a no-no, but I was hoping. :)

Thanks-

Maggie, thanks for the info about Uncle Harry's pretzels - my brother used to work for them and bring home bags - they're the best pretzels I ever had. And one of my supermarkets carries them.

If your market doesn't carry them, ask the manager to order them - it's amazing how responsive they can be (of course, if they don't sell they won't continue to carry them, but it's worth a try).

I have bought the peanut butter filled whole wheat pretzels before and they are delicious! I actually don't like regular pretzels but these are a bit healthier and have protein. They are from Good Health and here is the link: http://www.goodhealthnaturalfoods.com/pretzels.html

I have found them at Whole Foods and at my local supermarket in the organic food section. I have also noticed that several companies are making whole wheat pretzels. I am keeping an eye out for something SBD-friendly . . . most tend to be short on fiber even if they are made with whole wheat flour. But definitely try the pb filled ones for an occasional treat.
