How is everyone's week going? Nothing too exciting here - just busy with swimming lessons and the kids activities. Summer is in full force, it hit 102 by 10am yesterday. The kids had swimming lessons then - but they were troopers. Should be the same today, I'm thinking extra sunscreen and I am getting there early so I get a shady bench! Yesterday I had to stand in the sun for 40 min! I was DRIPPING by the end!

Food today -
breakfast: Kashi cereal w/milk and banana, 2 pieces turkey bacon
snack: nuts at the pool
lunch: tuna on flatbread, roasted veggies
snack: cantaloupe and string cheese
dinner: Chicken Enchilada Casserole, refried beans, salad
Desert: yogurt

Nothing new here. It's hotter than heck here- 96 degrees yesterday, so I have not been walking at lunch. I tried one day last week and was completely exhausted for the rest of the day. Having a hard time not straying from the plan. Today is a new day though.

B - Egg beaters with ham, tomato & cheese
S - cherries & almonds
L - chicken salad wrap & sliced veggies
S - peach
D - steak, sweet potato, zucchini casserole
S - pudding or fudge sicle

Nothing much to report here. It's cooling off here and Hurricane Dennis is supposed to bring in some rain. I'm hoping so, our lawn is pretty dry! Only supposed to be 80 today.

I had some candy today! GASP! Took the dog to the vet, and they have this candy jar there with Now n' Laters and Sweet Tarts in it. I couldn't resist. Daisy's mani/pedi (aka nail trim) ran a bit long, so I had 1 of each. I doubt that will break me, and I had just finished some cottage cheese, so hopefully that slowed the digestion a bit.

B - Kashi Waffle w SF Syrup, Veggie Sausage, 8 oz Skim Milk
S - Watermelon (which I JUST learned is an 'avoid' food - oops!), String Cheese
L - Wendy's Mediterranean Chicken Salad
S - Cottage Cheese, Lean Ham
D - Pulled Pork, Green Beans, Salad w/RW Vinagrette
D - SF Cheesecake Pudding
Exercise - I've got my lifting class tonight.

Keep it cool out there! Today would be a good day for one of those SBD-friendly smoothies or shakes!

Hi, I'm Sarah. Just started phase two today. I actually started just before the holiday, but with all the celebrations and relatives in town thought I should go back to phase 1 for a few days just to kinda detox. I've lost 18 pounds on SBD as of this morning, and can't even begin to express how happy and excited I am.
I do have a couple of questions. For breakfast this morning I had a serving of SBD cereal with a cup of milk and a glass of tomato juice. Am I still missing a protein? Since this is the first grain I have introduced on phase 2 do I also introduce a fruit today or do I wait a couple of days before I add anymore? I was thinking of having some cherries as a snack today, but don't want to push it. Lunch will be a salad with lemon garlic chicken breast, and haven't decided on supper yet, but am leaning towards hamburgers on the grill with lettuce, tomato & onions, and green beans. Another snack will be string cheese and a yellow pepper. Dessert - fudgsicle. Any suggestions?
