hey ladies!
so i havent posted in a while.. i guess a lot has been going on.
for the past year i have been a strict vegan (no meat, dairy, honey, eggs, etc) but i gained 15 pounds because i was eating so many carbs! my mom had a lot of success on the south beach diet so i wanted to try it but it left with me almost nothing to eat. even though i tried to do it i became sick. i had a doctors appointment and he said i was very "malnurished" and i was going to need to get a shot once a month to replace all the things i wasnt getting with my unhealthy diet. my mom conviced me to add dairy to my diet (after i noticed a small layer of white hair developing on my skin!!!) and ive even started eating a little bit of meat. i feel much better and have found other ways to support animal rights.
so anyway, i can finally commit to the south beach diet. i am starting tomorrow with a whole new WOE.. this way its going to be healthy. i want to have just a serving or two of "legal" carbs a day, and i am going to continue with my snacks.
this message board is really great and i just love reading it.. its a great motivater! thanks everyone!
