Goal Weight?

This might seem like a silly question, but how do you know what your goal weight is supposed to be? I am making real progress with my body for the first time...I have never been at a weight that I am 100% comfortable with. It would be nice to have a specific number to reach towards. Since I dont really have that much to loose (a layer of fat over my muscle that I want to loose to look more defined and lean) I also dont want to go overboard and then not be able to maintain the loss or become unhealthy.
Thanks!
Sophie

Sophie-
We had a discussion on determining goal weight a few months ago.
For me, I looked at various weight charts and most of them had 120 pounds as a minimum weight for my height, 5'5". I have weighed 120 before so that was my original goal weight. I have not been able to get there and I now think that 125 is a more realistic goal, which is still within my range. I also noticed that the SBD website has a greater range for my height with the minimum being 111 pounds. So I think it really depends on where you have been weight-wise, and where you fit within a healthy range.
Hope that helps!
