Terrific Thursday Phase 2 Check In

Good Morning!

I'm sneaking in here at work to get our post started for the day. Last night I ended up having SB friendly turkey bacon with lettuce & tomato on a ww small tortilla. I was just improvising with what was in the fridge since I was too tired to go shopping. LOL!

I was excited since my Gracie ate about 1/8 cup of dry kitty food when I got home from work (she seemed to love the new natural food called Pet Promise). Since she did so well I skipped one of her force feedings. :-) Can you believe she wasn't interested in the fresh ground natural turkey I cooked up for her? LOL! I ended up feeding it to Patches....she's like her mom and will eat most anything. LMBO!!!

Today so far....

Breakfast: (I need to grocery shop!) Kashi 7 whole grain granola bar (is this legal?) and a small sf yogurt & coffee w/ 1% milk

Forgot to bring snacks

Lunch: I'm going to Applebee's today with a friend and am hoping one of their WW menu items will work for SB.

Dinner: Unsure yet.

Have a great day.....it's nearly Friday!!!

P.S.  I wrote you all a post on yesterday's check in to let you know how I appreciated your posts :-)

Have a great day!

Hi All, I'm happy to report that I'm down another lb. this week! I've lost more weight in the last 2 weeks than I have in the last 4 months put together! Who knows why. I've been sick and have been eating less the last couple of days, but I overly "treated" last weekend and the one before. Also, I haven't worked out since last Friday. I also did P1 for 3 days last week. Maybe it's just a different shake-up of things that has helped? I'm baffled, but soooooo happy, about the loss. Who knows if it is permenant loss, but I'm still excited to see the scale move, even just a little!

Also, I tried on a size 4 skirt yesterday at a small local boutique and it was too BIG. Wow! I've been able to wear size 4's in skirts for a while now, but I have never worn a size 2, ever, ever, ever in anything. I was so jazzed!

Okay, on to my menu...

B: 2 vegetable patties, scoop of cottage cheese, 1 slice ww toast with Smart Balance, coffee with chocolate soy slender

S: None

L: 1/2 ww flat-out bread with turkey, RF cheese, lettuce, roma tomatoes, Carb Options ranch dressing; peach slices

S: Orange bell pepper with hummus, V-8

D: Huge chicken ceaser salad

Dessert: Yogurt parfait with strawberries and SB cereal and a dab of redi-wip

No exercise today... still recovering from being sick.

Have a great day, Everyone!!!

I'm really glad to hear the kitty ate some food!

Tomorrow I will be weighing in. Since I was up 4 lbs (!!!!!) when I weighed myself Tuesday, I'm really hoping to be back down. I've been very good, and gotten exercise in as much as possible. So I'll update tomorrow, but if I haven't lost this week, expect a rant! Warning! :)

B - Scrambled Egg Beaters w/R&G Peppers and Onions, Vegy sausage patty, LF/SF Mocha
S - Apple & PeanutButter
L - Wendy's Mediterranean Chicken Salad, Iced Tea
S - Cottage Cheese
D - Salad, Sauteed Vegetables, Grilled Salmon Fillet
Dessert - Trying to cut that out this week, on account of the gain.
Exercise - All Strength (weights) aerobics class, maybe a walk with the dog afterward

Weather is BEAU-T-FUL here today! I may HAVE to take a walk! I've really missed walks since it's been so hot. But today my thermometer said 77. PERFECTION!

(scale said 122 on Tuesday, but read 118 the prior Saturday! Since my weigh in day isn't until Friday/Saturday, I have ruled that Tuesday's weigh in "didn't count".)

Kim - I am so excited for you! This just proves that you have to stick with it, don't get discouraged, and success will come your way. My loss is going very slowly, and I have a lot to lose, so it's frustrating, but when I'm at the point when I'm asking myself why I'm doing this if I'm not losing weight, I'll lose a pound, so I keep plugging away. It must be so cool to be in a size 2. I'm just looking forward to wearing any size that doesn't have a W at the end of it!

B - strawberry smoothie, Metamucil
S - 7 triscuits w/lite cream cheese, .375 square of dark chocolate
L - large greek salad w/gyro meet
S - 7 dried apricots, skim milk steamer
D - roasted chicken, salad, sweet potato, brussel sprouts
S - sbd pb cup

Thanks, Lora! You are always so supportive and I really appreciate it so much!

I'm soooooo not a size 2! Skirts always fit different than anything else but it was exciting to see that happen at all. I did buy some size 6P pants yesterday that are a bit baggy, and another size 4 skirt, but I hate tight clothes so that's all good with me.

Keep up the good work, Girl. What kind of dried apricots do you buy? I'm thinking about adding them to my plan. I saw some organic-type ones at Central Market the other day-- is that what I ought to be looking for? They look yummy. Thanks!

My DH picks up my apricots at his family's restaurant, a middle eastern place. They have a small ethnic grocery in the lobby. They're called Turkish apricots, but they aren't any name brand - just lined up on a styrofoam tray and wrapped in cellophane. I'm sure they order them from a wholesaler in Chicago. He did buy me a package from CVS a few weeks ago. I don't remember the name brand, but I do remember it said "guaranteed fresh" on the outside of the package, and they were much smaller and not as soft (i.e. not THAT fresh).

Thanks, Lora. The ones you get sound great! Maybe the ones from Central Market would be okay. It's a whole foods store, but they are packaged, so who knows. Thanks for the information!
