I am feeling SO good right now and wanted to let out all the excitement :). Recently, I had been feeling somewhat discouraged about South Beach because I had plateaued at 146 pounds for almost a month, but I continued to follow the plan strictly and convinced myself that the weight would come off eventually. And besides, even though the # on the scale wouldn't budge, I was feeling so much better and my clothes kept getting looser. Yesterday, I weighed 144, and it's my TOM and I usually weight at least 2 pounds more at that time, so I'm guessing that I'm even less. Finally I've broken the plateau, and I'm so happy! I measured my waist this morning, and it's 27"! It hasn't been that small for a while...when I started, my waist measured 30", and that was with pulling the tape meaure a bit tight :). For me, 3 inches is significant! For whatever reason, I feel like those two pounds made a big difference. The muscles in my legs are defined again, and my arms are much smaller and more toned (weight lifting has definately helped!), and I looked in the mirror this morning and thought to myself, "oh my gosh, i actually have cheekbones!" I feel so great! Now I'm even more excited to get to my goal, because I'm starting to see how I'm going to look once I get there, and I'm loving it!!!! I just wanted to share my excitement, and also wanted to encourage anyone who is in a stall to keep going, because it's worth it even if the scale doesn't show a big change.
