I have heard of Teeccino coffee substitute and I really want to try it, cause I know that I drink too much coffee. But do I have to count it as a fruit or nut serving, since it is made from ground fruits and nuts?

Thanks!

I don't know the answer to your question, but I have Teeccino Coffee in the cabinet, so here are the ingredients and nutrition info so one of the CL's can help.

Ingredients: Roasted carob, barley, chicory root, figs, dates, orange peel, and almonds.

Nutrition facts (1 TBSP):
Cals 15
Fat 0g
Total Carbs 3g
Dietary fiber 1g
Sugars 1g
Insulin 355 mg
Potassuim 65 mg

I would also like to know if this is ok to drink-and is the insulin in it a bad or good thing?

Teeccino "herbal coffee" is very healthy, and a great choice for South Beach.

Thanks, Cathy.

The nutritionist seems completely unfamiliar with the product, and even called it "tea".

Haha, whoops - I can't believe I read it as "insulin!" That definately confused me. Thanks for the clarification.
