What a week!

First of all, this morning I wrote a wonderful summary of how the SB week went for me, but right before I sent it it disappeared! Arggghh. So anyway here I am at one oclock in the morning, just trying to regroup and get a plan together for the week ahead.

I was successful all week, made it to the gym 4 out of 5 days, and slip-ups included getting full fat cheese in salads on the run, eating flavored nonfat yogurt(didn't have time to search for plain), and not enough dairy. However, today I finally crashed(last week went work 10-6, run to gym 6-7:30, get quick salad/run to rehearsal 8-11:30. I slept most of the day and had no SB food in my house.

Today involved way too much cool whip and peanut butter, and a tex-mex salad. In addition, my boyfriend sent me gourmet sour patch kids, my old favorite candy! And to top all of this off, usually in the play I'm in I sit at a table and get handed a glass of water. Tonight was opening night, and to my surprise a plate with two brownies were plopped in front of me--onstage!! (In my mind I decided that anything eaten onstage doesn't have calories. But looking back this is hysterical to me. Why was this never mentioned before curtain that we'd be eating brownies?!? Maybe my character is South Beaching it too? Hah..)

Anyway, I am going to wake up early, get to the grocery store and stock up, commute into NYC, hit the gym, and then be at my show by 3pm.

Wow, I don't even know if people will read this, but it really helps to put things like that in writing.

When I have time I also would like to write up a note about doing the South Beach on a budget and on the run in NYC. I have learned so much and have tons of tricks!

I know I never write about my progress, but I'd just like to say that I am an EXTREMELY active person, I practically jog for 6 hours waitressing and do get to the gym 4-5 days a week and burn around 500 cals doing cardio. I follow this diet to the hilt 4 days a week, and then due to complete lack of SB food, extenuating circumstances, etc., I will have one or two weird food items, or maybe have one complete day of weird eating. Despite all of this(and I think because of the exercise) I am losing 1 pound a week, no more no less. This diet allows you to live your life. Okay I'm tired. Goodnight all!

Catherine,

It sounds like you had many challenges this week, but you got thru them all!

Despite all of this(and I think because of the exercise) I am losing 1 pound a week, no more no less. This diet allows you to live your life. Here is a perfect example of how you can 'live your life' and still be successful on this woe.

I am looking forward to your post on doing the South Beach on a budget and on the run in NYC. I often work in NYC and

Hello!

Thanks for asking about the play! It's not a play you have heard of though, its a new political play that is currently being re-worked and re-written. If anything happens with it I'll be sure to let you all know!
