IS 52% FAT OK ?

Hi everyone,

I am using selfdietclub online calorie/exercise tracker and did an analysis of my diet. According to the pie chart my diet is 52% fat, 27% protein and 21% carb. I know we really don't count calories, etc. - but is 52% fat ok?

Thanks
Jackie

Hi Jackie,

You're right, we don't count calories that way.

Hi Cathy,

You are right, the percentage for daily fat intake is 30%. I know I have not been loosing any weight since my initial 7 lbs weight loss in phase 1. I have not really added grains other than an occasional wheat wrap or an occasional few grilled sweet potatoe slices. I don't know how reliable the program I am using is but here is a typical menu for me:

B: Egg Beater Omlet w/slice cheese
2 Slice Turkey Bacon
SF Ice Tea

L: Salad - balsamic vinegar/1 tsp olive oil/sometimes avocado
with either sirlion burger or chicken/fish or hard boiled egg

Snack : lit N Fit FF Yogurt with few walnuts

D: Roasted Veg. with fish or chicken or burger (grilled)

Snack: Occassional - apple w/2TBS PB or NSA fudgsicle

Water/decaf tea/ throughout the day.

Thanks for your help
Jackie

Hi Jackie,

It doesn't look like your getting 4 1/2 cups of veggies.

Hi Cathy,

I will definitely take your advice and get more veg's in and add another dairy, fruit and grain. I'll let you know how I do.

Thanks
Jackie

Hi Cathy,

Thanks for your post - your observations really helped - I will switch to reduced fat cheese for my omlet - and I just started using Kashi crunch in my yogurt instead of walnuts so I have eliminated one nut serving there. I definitely will increase the veg's and can do without the avocado. What salad dressing do you use? I'm a little confused with what dressing I should use - that's why I stuck with oil and vinegar. I will add a grain and fruit this week and let you know how I do.

Again Thanks so much!
JACKIE

Oil & vinegar is a great choice for your salad.
