Skipping Phase 1, starting in Phase 2

Here is a new response from a SBD nutritionist:
Member Question: I was wondering if I have to start in phase 1? I get really cranky and kind of mean when I cut out fruit and whole grains. I tried SBD phase 1 at least a year ago and I was so mean, my hubby wanted me to cheat.
Should I try phase 1 and see what happens or just start out in phase 2?
Nutritionist: It's perfectly fine to start in phase 2. Which phase you start in is a personal choice. Often we recommend starting in phase 2 for circumstances such as this or very active people, those who have a small amount of weight to lose, those with diabetes and many others.
