officially in P2 Friday need some advice

I have read all the starting Phase 2 links and food guides and my question is...in the book it says to add 1-2 things at a time to see how your body reacts...
well I want to get the Kashi Waffles and some cereal for breakfast time...so would I just add that during the day along with yogurt and fruit for a snack for a week to see how my body handles it?
how do I add the different foods...i don't want to just add everything at once...even though adding everything would still be healthy...I don't want to not lose any weight...

You would add 1 grain serving and 1 fruit serving each day during the first week.
