Having Strange Cravings!

Hi everyone,
I have started the SB WOE about 3 months ago and have been faithful! I have lost about 17 pounds to date, but noticed that I am starting to have cravings. Not for sweets, but things like pizza and red meat! Especially red meat! While I have indulged in the occasional NY strip steak over the last 3months, I have eaten mostly fish, some chicken, eggs, cheese, beans, etc. The other night I had a rib eye (I know, but they didn't have a leaner cut), and last night I had a big and juicy burger on a whole wheat bun; I made the burgers myself using 90/10 sirloin. My pizza craving comes and goes, but you need to understand that I used to eat pizza a couple of times a week! So, to skip it for 3 months - ugh!
Any ideas why I have just begun to have these weird cravings? I would have expected to crave sweets or muffins or something. Not a burger!
I just found a recipe for a whole wheat pizza dough on the SB website, but if anyone has a good recipe, I'll give it a try!

As far as the red meat craving - you can have lean red meat, so there is no need to deprive yourself of that. Do you think you have been getting enough iron? I am borderline anemic and I notice that I will often crave red meat.
We make a GREAT ww pizza crust, my kids and dh like it better than regular.
INGREDIENTS:
1 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 tablespoon active dry yeast
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
3 - 3 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
I do it in the bread machine on "dough" setting then roll it out. It makes one large pizza or two small. Ragu jarred pizza sauce has no sugar so we use that. Then we LOAD it up with veggies (mushrooms, olives, zucchini, artichoke hearts, red pepper, eggplant, onion) The kids get turkey pepperoni on their half.
I bake it on a pizza stone til the cheese is melted and the crust is crispy.

Great, thanks. I was just going to make the dough, so I'll try your recipe. I had put my bread machine away for a while, for obvious reasons, but I'll dig it out again.
I'll also plan to add some browned - lean - ground beef to the pizza toppings! I just ate a slice of roast beef. The beef craving is just odd, for me, because I have always loved veggies and fish and tended to stay away from beef. You brought up a good point, I have been tired lately so its possible that my blood count is a bit low.
MichaelAnn,
How do you count the pizza? One small/medium slice = one grain serving? I'm looking forward to enjoying pizza again & that sounds like a great way!
BTW- HOLY COW! You look AMAZING! Love the new siggie!

Well its kind of hard to be "exact" with the pizza...when I was earlier in phase 2 I would eat no other starches/grains on the day I was going to have the pizza and have two small slices (I roll the crust VERY thin) Now I don't really worry about it and still have my usual grains for the day, plus two small slices (with lots of veggies on the pizza plus a side salad) We generally have it about 2 times a month, so its not something I worry too much about.
Oh - and thank you! I was meaning to take a final "after" picture while we were on vacation, but I forgot. Maybe this week I will do one.

MichaelAnn, one more question about the pizza crust & I'll leave you alone (lol!).
Your original post said 3 3 1/2 cups ww flour. You meant 3 1/2 cups ww flour, right? I'm making batch #2 right now & the first batch looks good & I used the 3 1/2 c ww flour.
TIA!
