Manic Monday Phase 2 Check-In

We haven't had Check-Ins started lately, so I thought I'd try to start the week off right!
B - Kashi Waffle w/SF Syrup, Veggie Sausage, SF/FF Mocha
S - Cantalope and string cheese
L - Caesar side salad, small chili, Iced Tea
S - SBD Breakfast Bar to hold me over through my workout until dinner
D - Easy Salsa Chicken, most likely with a salad and/or vegetables
D - 8 oz skim milk before bed
I've got 2 weeks until my BIL's wedding, and I really would like to lose 2 lbs and be to 119 by that time. I had a rough weekend, spent most of the time in the car on the road, but I did the best I could considering the circumstances. But I'll have to have 2 flawless SBD weeks to reach that goal by 9/10. Even then it may be tricky. But if I look at my meal at the wedding as being my big "treat" at the end of the good behavior, that will get me through! (I LOVE wedding cake! You better believe I'm having some at the wedding!)

Hey, Stephanie! Thanks for starting the check-in. Here's what I've been doing / planning for today.
B - fruit smoothie (peaches, FF plain yogurt, ice, Splenda)
S - 7 RF Triscuits w/lite cream cheese, 2 tbsp peanut butter
L - big salad with crab, lots of veggies, BV
S - carrots and dip
D - ???
DD (6 yo) likes to cook, and she told me she wants to make a "feast" tonight. We'll go to the store after school today, and see what she has in mind. I'll let her make whatever she wants, and just keep what I eat SBD friendly.

Today's Menu:
B: flax toast w/ 1/2 an avacado & 3 turkey slices; 1/2 cup of non-fat plain yogurt
S: banana; sliced cucumber w/ homemade hummus
L: grilled chicken breast w/ spinach & homemade vinaigrette; 10 baby carrots; sliced yellow pepper
S: 3 celery stalks w/ 2 tbsp natural peanut butter; homemade SB banana muffin
D: plain baked salmon; steamed green beans; steamed broccoli; skim milk
S: 15 grapes

Today is Day 22, and my second week on Phase 2 so I'm re-introducing another serving of starch and fruit back into my day (I'm now up to 2 servings each). I made a batch of SB approved banana muffins last night (but ommitted the walnut component), and they are delicious!
Also, I haven't weighed myself in forever (the scale was banished, long ago, to my storage locker) but my pants are incredibly loose. I would guess that I'm probably down to about 116lbs??? I kind of wish I knew for sure, but, then again, I'm feeling so good that there's no sense in ruining everything with a silly number!

Here is my day:

S: an apple
L: Ezekial pita with 1/2 leftover chicken breast, tomatoes, lettuce, onion, lf mayo
S: Fruit smoothie: 1 peach, 1/2 c skim milk, 1/2 c nf yogurt, splenda, vanilla extract, ice cubes. (Yum! I love my smoothies!)
D: ?? Not sure yet. Probably salmon and a big salad and some steamed broccoli and grilled onions.
DD: none
School has just started up again for me, and I have early morning choir rehearsal that starts at 6:30, so I eat breakfast at about 5:45. I am not used to it yet! It's going to take a little while to get into the routine of school and South Beach, but I know it'll be fine. I am amazed at how it gets easier every day to resist all the treats that pop up unexpectedly...the family trips to the ice cream store that seem to happen every night, bagels brought in to rehearsal for breakfast, etc. It's really not that hard! (at least not today- my attitude is a little different sometimes, haha!).

Yummm...that smoothie looks delicious! I might really have to try one of those sometime for a change.
Here is what I had today:
B: 2 strips of turkey bacon, 1/2 cup of egg beaters and cafe con leche w/ skim milk and 1 tsp splenda
S: Key Lime Pie fat free yogurt ~
Another snack: (lol..nursing moms gotta eat!) 3 slices of Boar's Head cracked pepper turkey and 2 cubes of pepper jack cheese
L: Salmon salad w/ strawberries over spinach
S: Fresh guacomole
D: Chili...lots of it! lol
No snack tonight before bed.
