Hmmmm.
I have looked all over the lists and dont see it. It is not mentioned in any of his books that I have seen. Did I miss it?
Am I supposed to avoid it?
I buy them for my 8 month old daughter and it is so sad how I love them and they often go to waste when she cant eat a whole one before it goes bad. It calls my name all the way from the fridge.

I figure, isnt it better than the cookie I could have or the candy bar? Isnt it good for me? Even a little bit?

Hmmmm.

Yes avocado is allowed. It is on the Foods to Enjoy list - it is listed in the "Fats/Oils", which is why you may not have seen it:

Avocado - 1/3 whole = 1 TBS oil

Avocado counts toward your fats/oil servings (2.5 servings allowed per day) and 1/3 avocado counts as 1 fat serving.

Its my absolute favorite food I think - so I have had a VERY hard time limiting them. I admit I do tend to go overboard on it sometimes, but it hasn't hurt my weight loss.

Hi Denise,

1/3 of an avocado is legal in all phases.

The good news is that you *can* have icecream with this woe - sf fudgesicles! They taste just as yummy as the "regular" kind, at least to me they do!

Enjoy!
